This was not our first time diving with Jetty Dive Centre, and it will not be our last. It is one of the most professional operations that I have experienced in over 36 years of diving. The staff is amazing, the shop is very organized and they have one of the nicest, most comfortable dive boats that I have been diving from.A lot of thought went into its design. We had some fantastic dives with them at South Solitary Island over the past couple of days. Hammerhead Sharks, Grey Nurse Sharks, Wobbegongs and lots of small critters as well. I can highly recommend Jetty Dive Centre and I will certainly be back.

No fuss, friendly and skill instructions were easily understood.

Everyone from Jetty Dive Centre was very accommodating. The dive masters took great care of us. The one on one attention was better than any dive company we have been with. They took care of the gear, cleaned it and stored it to dry for us to pick up the next day.

Jetty Dive Centre went above and beyond on this dive trip. The boat captain was truly great in getting us to/from the dive site in some rather rough seas. We completed a two-tank dive and saw an amazing amount of fish and sea life, including sharks and sea turtles. Our dive master, Kate, also went above and beyond to ensure we had a safe and enjoyable experience. I would highly recommend diving with this dive shop!

A very joyful morning on the water with the team at Jetty Dive. Was an absolute brilliant day with plenty of action from the whales. The team were very accommodating and knowledgeable. Sharing plenty of laughs and taking plenty of photos we can’t not thank the team enough, definitely recommend trying!

Omg what a wonderful day of whale watching. The boat took us out about 15 mins from shore then waited! Within ten minutes we were surrounded by whales who came right up to boat and underneath..just amazing. Definitely recommend

Lindsay and his crew took us offshore to find whales as inshore was very quiet, after much scouting they put us onto multiple pods of very playful Humpbacks that stayed with us for two hours, spy hopping, pec slapping and even complete breaching. We were able to swim with them multiple times through our trip and I couldn't rate this experience any higher.

we are looking at going whale watching but looking for the right boat we have 3 kids (18months, 4 and 7) going aswell 5 adults. the 18month is very active loves climbing and quite hard to hold for long periods just wondering if this boat would be right for us

Hi,
As much as we would like to take you, I am worried that if you took your eyes and hands off your 18 mth old, there is a risk of climbing over the 500mm sides of our boat and fall in. the feature of the main boat that we operate Whale watching with, is the rubber tube sides, giving a smoother ride, but it has only 500mm high sides.

and that will brief you on the different levels of courses you can start with. It ranges from $249 for a Discover Scuba session to $495 for a PADI Open Water
Diver Course.

We have never dived in Australia (having lived in Fiji!) and my partner (a crazy Kiwi) wants to shark dive. We're coming to Coffs mid December - do you do shark dives (cageless) or is this a good time to see plenty of marine life? Sorry to sound ignorant but I don't know much about diving here! :-)

Hi, we do have Grey Nurse Sharks here, December is not the busiest time of year for them, but we can see them, they are great to dive with. We don't attract them they are just cruising about in an area around South Solitary Island. This part of the east coast of Aust is where the tropical fish meet all the southern fish, so we have a lot of the barrier reef fish here as well as the sharks.
Hey, Me and my wife were planning to visit Coffs Harbour for Christmas and were interested in snorkeling but have no experience. We can swim a little but again not extensive. Are we eligible for snorkeling and if so could you sent me your package at joegeo87 at gmail.

Hi,
We offer snorkelling trips to the Solitary Islands, The weather and sea conditions can vary greatly, so we usually inform people that some experience is needed as we can get some rough conditions.
If you can't swim that well, it would mean you would need a very good day to go. I would suggest you call us when you get here and we will know how the conditions are and then advise you what t do.
Cost per person is $75 and it usually runs for a half day.

No sorry I don't know for sure anyone who does it but there is another operator in Mullaway which is a town very close to Coffs Harbour. The company is called Dive Quest. They may do tours. We will be diving with them in December

Hi, My wife and i would like to do diving but we never done it before.

Hi, Sorry I did not see your message till now.
To learn to dive you do need to swim 200 metres or snorkel 300 metres and also float for a 10 minute period as a test. For your own safety in the water.
So if you can do that, you will be OK. You will need to be medically fit to dive too. Our webpage on dive courses 3-4 day Open water course has all the details and links to medical questionaire you need to answer.
