Tripadvisor’s approach to reviews
Before posting, each Tripadvisor review goes through an automated tracking system, which collects information, answering the following questions: how, what, where and when. If the system detects something that potentially contradicts our community guidelines, the review is not published.
When the system detects a problem, a review may be automatically rejected, sent to the reviewer for validation, or manually reviewed by our team of content specialists, who work 24/7 to maintain the quality of the reviews on our site.
Our team checks each review posted on the site disputed by our community as not meeting our community guidelines.

These are a very different market to what you experience at the Saturday Canberra Region Farmers Market at Exhibition Park in that they all appear to be permanent shops that are located in a number of permanent buildings that form a U shape around a car park. Whilst they have fresh produce for sale I doubt whether many of the shops are the actual producers.

That having been said there is a large range of fresh fruit and vegetables (I counted four different very large greengrocers), butchers and poultry suppliers (at least three shops), a fish mongers, a couple of bakeries and delicatessens plus a number of fast food, coffee shops and a juice bar. There was also a number of other speciality shops selling food and non-food related goods.

The markets are open four days a week from Thursdays to Sundays.

Not a must see.

Terrific market with great shops. Delis, fruit and veg, seafood and cafes and food stalls. A great place to spend an hour or two browsing and buying! There's a Lifeline bookshop too - fabulous 😍

Looking for a bakery open on Sunday afternoon, found this place and Crust. Very good range of fruit, veges, meat, seafood, cheeses, deli stuff, alcohol, health foods and more, a few cafes and fast foods, Asian Lebanese and Japanese, not crap. It was such a find, the bread was delicious , not all of it made it home. Fyshwick residents are very lucky

Clearly not as friendly as they used to be.

I just got bailed up by Wally for stealing $5 worth of mangoes.

Lucky I had my receipt.

Thanks Wally you ruined my experience of the markets.

Still fuming. Only been going there for twenty years.

This is great as a local and I’d say as a tourist is a must see too!!

Lots of options if you want to have a meal, snack of coffee and desert.

Gets extremely busy (which I don’t enjoy) so my tip is to early to feel the most comfortable but if you don’t mind crowds enjoy the bustle!

It's nice to visit the market to get the fresh produce and have a coffee with quite a few bakeries around. There's also an Asian grocery with wide range of food products. A place where the locals frequent, not a touristy place.

Just food markets mostly taken up with 3 big fruit and vegetable shops, a couple of butchers/seafood shops. Several shops vacant. Not much of a market feel to it .

What a surprise. Just driving past, drove in and was blown away by extent of facilities. Great fresh produce, specialist shops, best ever artisan bakery (cherry danish, croissants +++), butchers, great liquor shop, street food etc.
GO THERE.
