Stopped here for about 10 minutes on my walk along the lake. Interesting facts and gorgeous views of the lake.

Greta place to park and see the Capt Cook water jet up close. Well worth a detour to go and have a look.
This globe shows us how Captain Cook made his voyage until he found Australia and New Zealand some two hundreds years ago, interesting. Good historical knowledge not only for adults but specifically for children. Do your visit as a part of the longer leisure walks,...More
This sculpture clearly shows the extent of James Cook's voyages and what an amazing feat it was for the time. A beautiful location right on the lakefront, best place to view the fountain.
It is nice for children to be able to have hands on experiences with our history. It is in a lovely location and nice spot to rest and look at our iconic buildings across the lake
Another interesting fact highlighted by a clever metal structure. There were many structures around Canberra and this one was factual and looked great.
Nicely designed memorial with heaps of interesting info of the trips he made. Could do with a clean but in a great location with good views. A must do. Close to the lake walk and info centre.
That is one more thing you must see if you are nearby the lake, I did a tour by bike and it was really amazing, the memorial is one of the other great things that you see doing the same.
Nothing spectacular but an excellent site to see the world globe up close with water a feature, especially when the water jet in the lake is operating. It is worth a visit
Out of action at present due to major repairs. Be live it will be up and running by September . Bigger and better.
