This is the place the place to have a bird's eye view of the Capital city. It costs me $7.50 per person to be admitted to the top of the tower. The wind was blowing and after a 360 tour, we were warming ourselves with hot beverages at the tower cafe.

We cycled up - much easier coming down but make sure your brakes work! Some picnic areas and good parking but the best views are from the Telstra Tower so be prepared to pay to see them (only $7.50 for adults and $3 concession so not much).

Located centrally in Canberra, just outside the city hustle and bustle. Numerous walking tracks, of varying difficulty, meander around and up the mountain. Lots of birds, mammals and reptiles inhabit the park, so you're bound to have a native animal encounter of some kind. Plenty of parking located around the park makes it easy to access. Walk to the top... More

Went up the top to the Telstra tower lookout. Reasonably cheap and a great view over Canberra and beyond. Wheelchair friendly but I found the disabled toilet in the foyer inadequate as it was too small to get the wheelchair in and close the door. There is a café at the top where you can have a snack and drink... More

We parked at the carpark about 3/4 of the way along the road near the Tower. We followed the trail that looped the mountain, then followed the trail down the mountain and into the back of the Botanic Gardens, then returned to our car along the same trail. There are plenty of other trails to follow, with places for a... More

Visiting our Nations Capital, this is a must do. Stunning views of Canberra and surrounds, and for the more adventurous take the lift. To the top of the tower

The photos we get here is absolutely stunning! Get there at sunset and you'll have a bunch of beautiful photos to take with you. We have always endeavoured to have a picnic out there - but never found the right spot.

We entered behind the CSIRO. It took us 35 minutes to walk to the top. Well defined track. Clear views. We could see clearly the snow on the Brindabellas.

Easy to find and well worth the effort to spend some time here looking at the park and the views. It is at the back of the city and you can combine with the Telstra Tower later in the morning.
