Attended a wedding reception here. Extremely hot night but air con worked okay. The building is lovely but something could be done about the really bad musty smell as you enter the main doors. The timber in this building is absolutely amazing and a perfect venue for a wedding reception.

Apparently, the government has spent a lot of money over the past years restoring Albert Hall. It is now back to being a fantastic venue for dance and community groups to use. If only there were more of these events and less rug sales.

We managed to have in the Hall when there was a market on. It seemed a bit down market for a place of such heritage. You could imagine the performances on the lovely stage and admire the flooring and seats. I was glad I got a view inside. I hope the locals cherish the hall and its past.

A photo shoot featuring lithe giraffe like creatures had just wrapped when I wandered in, struck by the gorgeous wood panelling, the arches of light on the polished floor, and the space of the grand room. If you're ever feeling older than your years, visit a vintage building to youth-en you up again.( I think I've just invented a word.)... More

This is our third time to go to this venue for the play school concert. Beautiful with the sun streaming in. There are chairs around but most people sit on the floor. Free parking on the weekends.

It's like stepping back into history when you walk into the Albert Hall. You can just imagine the flowing ball gowns of the ladies and the black suit and tie or early 1900 Military Uniforms of the men moving together on the dance floor with a military band all dressed in red tunics playing a Waltz. The place just embodies... More

A beautiful old historic Canberra building nestled on the shores of the lake. These days it is mainly used for exhibitions, functions and performances. If you get the chance to attend an event here, it is well worth the visit.

Hot. Hot. Hot. No air-conditioning. No coolers. No release from the heat of the day which is exacerbated by the hot tiles/concrete outside. It is a beautiful venue, though not as large as it looks and is definite need of updating. Certainly wouldn't pay in excess of $2000 to hire it. Nice nod to Canberra's history.

I visited the Albert Hall for this year's Jane Austen Festival. When I arrived there were ladies dressed in Regency costume chatting by the ornate front door and little boys dressed in a similar manner running around in the park. This was the perfect venue for the festival. The gloriously ornate ceiling and windows overlooking the park and lake provided... More

I have been many times i the Albert Hall, last when I was honoured for 20 years service as a Justice of the Peace. This place has an enormously large hall for functions. It is worth to visit this place.
