We watched both the Senate and House Of Reps thrashing it out during our visit. To understand how democracy really works, it is imperative to watch them in action. A lot of interrupting, retoric, calling out and in general crap, but to see it is amazing. It is a must when visiting the capital.

Very theatrical and quite interesting although I was disappointed by the poor level of debate - reminded me of school when the teacher stepped out of class. It's impressive how open the building is and how friendly the staff are. We went to snap a few photos of my son on the rooftop lawn before they close it off and then went inside for a look around. Then we came out and cooled our feet in the forecourt pond. Very worthwhile and you'd have to give it... More

Very impressed with the history and openness of the building and friendliness of the staff. The cafe could have done with a greater selection of eats.

A true modern Australian Icon in every sense - except the quality of the decisions by the people who are elected to work in the building.

The Marble Hall is an architectural wonder. It is a beautiful space & worth finding out more about the design elements. And you can buy a bottle of the Parliamentary Librarians Gin in the gift shop !

A huge building which befits the grandiose business it has to do. Well worth a few hours to look around it.
