Didn't have much time in Canberra but wanted to see Parliament House. Not a big fan of politics but figured while we were here should it. There's free parking on site. We didn't have time for the tour, but a self guided tour was enough....More

Went to question time for the comic relief. Not a good display of democracy. The free tour is brief and leaves a bit to be desired. Take a wander on your own and get out on the roof. Worth some time in your Canberra visit.

You have probably seen Question Time on the television news. You can book a place by telephone, or you can just turn up at Parliament House. You will get to see our parliamentary leaders at close quarters.

A free tour is a must. Very informative. Make sure you also go up to the roof level. A great lesson on how our government works.

Fabulous insight into who & how our country is run! Mind you disappointingly Parliament wasn’t sitting during my visit! The 1hr documentary on the design & construction of Parliament House, freely available to visitors touring the building, was a fabulous insight into the considerations that...More

What a wonderful building. So impressive. We had a great guide who explained so much of the parliamentary process and was obviously proud of the House and her part in it.

Amazing building. We were there for the 30th anniversary so it was a busy day. Lots of history and the building itself is very interesting. Make sure you get up on the roof and have a photo taken under the flag. It's also a fantastic...More

As far as I know, all other areas are open when the Houses are sitting, but the helpful staff will advise you.
