I spent just over 4 hours doing family research. Everyone was very helpful. A wonderful library. Would love to spend much more time there. Also has a great coffee shop

The library is right next to Questacon. There's nothing exciting about this library. There is also cafe inside and toilets.

We only had a short time to visit but enjoyed one of the library exhibitions and sat in the reading room to warm up, reading the great range of magazines and journals.

Stunning venue for a conference. The bookstore here was wonderful too. I would just suggest that the cafe should offer a coffee cart when a conference is on as we spent a long time in lines waiting for coffee.

Not only is this building in a fantastic location next to the Lake, but it a source of such wonderful Australian history. While not appealing to family groups, this is good location to visit if you want to do some family or local history research.
