Staying nearby and found the bell and Nara park, totally surprised with the park and what was there. Great for a nice walk with the background of the lake

A very emotive expetience
Mar. 2019 • Couples
3,000 people attended this beautiful Peace Bell in its wonderful peaceful setting just on dusk to pay tribute to the 50 victims of the Christchurch Shooting. The bell was rung 50 times, once for each victim and it was a very tearful experience. I also attended a ceremony where the bell was rung 66 times for each woman who died as a result of domestic violence. This is a special place for meditative thought and reflection.

Just beautiful

The sound of the bell ringing out Peace is so very special.

If you are lucky enough to be here when there is a ringing in progress, ring the bell.

A beautiful setting and very moving.
