A beautifully cared for church with several interesting and historic memorials. A very ancient yew in the graveyard some 1500 yrs old adds to the charm and unique setting. Tells the story of this community and its people - as churches do. Make time to...More

Well worth a visit to see the unusual wooden effigy. Lots of history and a large churchyard. Pretty village with a good pub within ten minutes walk from the church.

For a Caucasian Australian this place is incredibly old. The old Yew tree with its propped up branches was magical. The church with its Norman and Saxon history and artifacts was a revelation.

Lovely little church with an ancient yew tree that you can sit inside. Nice setting and forms part of a walk around the village.

St Bartholomew's Church is an imposing building at the heart of the village. Outside a superb 1,000 year + yew tree, and inside some remarkable monuments.
