Buzludzha as viewed from the valley below looks ominous. You can see it high on the mountain top from practically anywhere in the valley. It becomes even more overwhelming due to its looming size as you walk up the main stairs. There is nothing welcoming...More

It`s worth going for a walk to see its peculiar shape. Even though it`s in deteriorated state it`s an example of the architecture from this historical moment.

I was nervous about driving here but it was actually quite easy except the last mile which had quite a number of potholes but if you’re careful they’re fine. It’s not apparent but you can drive all the way to the top. Right before you...More

We went there yesterday (22.05.) at sunset time (20:00-20:30). Unfortunatelly there was the guard, who other people already mentioned here. He has a little "office" there. But he was always keeping an eye on us. We couldnt find an easy way in. Some entrances, which...More

We visited today and nearly got stuck in the snow trying to drive up the access road. We walked around the outside hoping to find a way in, but did not see one. Much of the graffiti on the outside was in the process of...More

I went at the start of March and there's a hole in the concrete floor on the left side. It was an icy slope and a drop to get in, which would be fairly straightforward in better conditions, but at the moment it helps to...More

Last time that I was there I did not see any cameras or alarms. Still I do think that they have some kind of security over there, even though definitely there shouldn't be any power in the monument itself as it is abandoned... More
