Tripadvisor’s approach to reviews
Before posting, each Tripadvisor review goes through an automated tracking system, which collects information, answering the following questions: how, what, where and when. If the system detects something that potentially contradicts our community guidelines, the review is not published.
When the system detects a problem, a review may be automatically rejected, sent to the reviewer for validation, or manually reviewed by our team of content specialists, who work 24/7 to maintain the quality of the reviews on our site.
Our team checks each review posted on the site disputed by our community as not meeting our community guidelines.

We were quite excited about hitting this spot but it was a visit worth 3minutes in total. There is a small information board explaining what the spot is, you walk for 1minute to see (and smell) the rocks and that's about it.

I've been around lots of volcanoes and geothermal activity, so wasn't too keen to breathe poisonous gases just to get close to the activity. We approached by motorbike and as we approached the entrance trail, the air became pretty toxic. Even with a mask on, I didn't care to walk any further than just to see the hillside covered with fumeroles emitting steam and gas. A beautiful road by motorbike, little traffic, nice relaxing ride to an from, especially along the back side of the island, where we saw lots of monkeys and beautiful views down to the sea far below.

We went to the Janoi Geothermal Valley in the hills. A short walk gets you to the first fumerals. Sulphur smells and baked yellow ground are accompanied by the hot gases escaping. It was not very impressive to us.

It is located at isolated place. It's a volcano because the peak produced sulfur and the brimstone crater produced bubbles and gas. My first time experience.

I visited Jaboih with Monster divers for a dive. Truly unique experience, warm water and bubbles sprouting from the seabed and amazingly there were also fishes there!
The spot is shallow , so I do think this is suitable for freediving also.
Just a reminder, take off your silver jewels, they will stain when exposed to the sulphuric air.
Of course, the air surrounding will be smelly like rotten egg, because the bubbles, coming from
Belly of the earth... contains hydrogen sulfide (aka rotten egg gas)

Unique experience resting on an up flow of warm water. You can only kneel on the sand bottom for a few minutes before your knees start to burn!

First timer to see a geothermal under the sea. The bubbles were magical and kinda surreal. Too bad my UW camera lost its power so I didn't have the pictures with those bubbles.
