Close to Haleiwa this very beautiful beach spot is a wonderful place for a day out with family. The beach offers restrooms and showers.

What a surprise to find this place. We went twice, as the first time we weren't prepared to swim or snorkel. The cove was protected and many people were snorkeling, though we just waded and explored the tide pools. You should have water shoes.

Please, with ALL water activities wear reef safe sunscreen. They even sell it at Costco. People are poisoning the ecosystem and we won’t have anything left! Don’t come here if you can’t respect the life you will see!

We stopped here after seeing that Waimee Bay is NOT a safe swimming area. Kids had a great time. Water is a little murky but still good time.

We went to this place after spending three hours at the Dole plantation, and obviously it was much later than we were planning, so we didn’t get to enjoy the tide pool for long. Also, without water shoes, we were very limited to what we...More

Wake up people and stay of the coral and rocks. You are killing this place. Remember this "If you are not on Sand, DO NOT STAND. This is a preserve that is dying because people don't know any better. Thinking they are standing on rocks...More

We decided to make a quick stop here. We did not have shoes and went bare foot. You definitely need to wear the proper shoes here! Need to be aware of the coral around you when making your way in. It is beautiful and the...More

A wonderful tide pool that is a great place to snorkel in a calm environment. As any place go early to have less folks around. It can get a bit crowded with people coming in and out of the area. The pool is 2 or...More

The rocky landscape makes this a snorkel haven. Unfortunately it was getting really busy when we got there, I hate snorkelling on top of people. This is a place to go first thing. But it's stunning here

Our first day to hit this place, the north shore waves had covered the entire thing with rough, unswimable surf. The parking area was empty. Our next attempt was early in the morning at low tide. We were the first there at 8:30. The northern...More

I would definitely recommend some long sleeve rash-guard shirts. 72 degree water and 10-15 mph wind can make for some shivers! They're readily available on Amazon and are affordable. They keep you warm, and keep the... More

Any time - the tide on Oahu barely changes all day. High and low tide are pretty much the same thing.

Mask, snorkel and some water shoes(hard sole). Some kind of gloves for hand protection is not a bad idea either.
