Really impressed with Discover Deadly and wish my family had stumbled upon the venue sooner!

The animal enclosures are amazing! I’d go as far to say they are better than Perth Zoo’s reptile enclosures. The care that’s gone into making each animals habitat as close to real life isn’t gone unnoticed.

Because the venue is smaller in size the intimacy between staff and customer is there. Asking questions and being hands on is all encouraged. My son loved this.

Will definitely be coming back when we come down south again.

Well done to the team at Discover Deadly for creating an awesome space for not only the animals but for children (and adults) to come and learn and explore snakes, lizards, dragons, geckos, crocodiles, turtles, amphibians and arachnids.

We only found this place by seeing the sign for reptile park on the main road and we’re so glad that we stopped. It’s a great venue and we all really enjoyed it. The staff were extremely friendly and spent time explaining the different reptiles to the kids and allowing the kids to feed them too. A highlight was holding the snake! A must visit.

My family and I spent a wonderful hour and a half here. It’s small but the presentation is excellent. The animals are easy to view and we were lucky enough to see snakes, turtles, spiders and frogs being fed.

The staff were extremely friendly and made our visit a pleasure.

The playground facilities added to the experience in a highly positive way!

This was a great experience for the kids on a wet day. We got to watch the reptiles get fed and hold the python. The staff were very friendly and helpful.

We went to discover deadly because I love reptiles and wanted to show my kids how awesome snakes were!

We were greeted by Leah, who is super excited and enthusiastic about her job! You can tell she loves what she does and she does it well!

As soon as my kids got through the door they were firing a million questions which Leah fielded (poor girl) with the professionalism you'd expect from a veteran kindy teacher.

The exhibits themselves were as well set out as any zoo. Large glass windows into habitats where lovely snakes, reptiles, spiders and frogs are on display. In the centre, a large pond where oblong turtles (tortoises?) were swimming and chilling.

But the main exhibit was the feeding of the juvenile salt water crocodile. Leah gave the talk about the crocodile and got him to jump and snatch at the mice that were his dinner. Fantastic! Finally, a little stimpsons python was brought out and my children got to hold the snake. They were amazed.

Each exhibit has information on the species and how the individual animal came to be in the exhibit. E.g. the olive python was rescued from an animal smuggler.

Anyway... bottom line: great exhibits, the staff are wonderful (give Leah hazard pay for having to deal with my kids) and all round great to see the various animals up close.

We spotted when driving past and decided to stop and have a reptile experience.
The kids loved it, staff were friendly and very informative and exhibits were clean and well cared for.
Only downfall was we found it a little pricey for what was on offer and time spent there.
Maybe review kids prices?

So glad you decided to stop by Jess! We are a small, family-owned business and we are not government funded. As such we rely on ticket sales to stay open and provide the best care we can for our animals. We recommend that you have a look at our website or give us a ring to find out when certain activities are on. You are also always welcome to stop by later on the same day to see any other feedings or bring a picnic to enjoy lunch in the garden.

The flags said spiders, crocs etc. One baby croc, 1 spider and a few tortoises. Highlight was kids holding a snake. Staff were excellent, but total experience not worth the price.

we had a really cool time here over the weekend! a cute little area of snakes, frogs, turtles, lizards, and spiders. there is a baby croc in there too. all very cute and interesting info about the animals and their poison levels etc, what they eat, where they live,
at the end before you head off you can hold one of the pythons! we held Bob the python (soooooo cute)
we were also able to see the lizards and snakes get fed.
it will be great to see the outside area done up. you can tell they’re on their way to getting it all sorted. was so happy to give these guys the entrance fee as you can tell they have a lot of care and passion for the lovely animals. :)
