Dan is a fantastic, personable guide and the itinerary he selected was out of this world! Would highly recommend this tour to anyone considering.

Enjoyed a fabulous bike tour along the river and trails of Adelaide with Dan and a group from our cruise ship. Dan was very personable and adjusted the ride to our interests and pace. Beautiful scenery, wildlife, a stop at the Oval and a nice wine tasting at the National Wine Center.

Our first biking holiday and it could not have been any better. Simply stunning part of the world and they have good wine as well! Cycling on their excellent bike tracks was the best way to enjoy it. Everything worked without any stress. Thanks to Dan and Jack, we were well looked after. Hope to get back so time.

Perfect day out. First time on an e-bike and so easy. Loved the food, wine and entertaining guides - highly recommend. It was unique riding through vineyards and the Australian bush.

This was an amazing tour and an awesome way to see the Barossa! Doing it by ebike meant we got to see some beautiful scenery that would be missed if travelling by car. The ebikes are easy and so much fun to ride!
The best thing about the tour is the amazing service from the tour guides! Dan and Jess are super friendly, a lot of fun and know how to make sure you get the best of the Barossa! Would be very keen to do more of the tours on offer.

We really enjoyed this trip. The e-bikes were easy to use and a great way to see the Barossa region.
Dan was an exemplary guide, personable and friendly.
Yalumba was a real highlight with great hosts, generous food and high quality wine. Steph and Amy were fountains of interesting knowledge and history. The grounds a beautiful backdrop.
We also enjoyed the chocolate factory, wine tasting at Artisons and cheese tasting in Angaston.
We highly recommend this small group tour.

A fantastic morning exploring the beautiful Adelaide Hills with Dan. E-bikes were so easy to ride and were the best way to see the back roads around Hahndorf.
Udder Delights cheese factory was divine and the wineries had delicious wines and sensational views.
Thanks Dan, we should have explored the Barossa with you too.

We had an absolutely amazing time. I would 100% book this again. Dan our tour guide was wonderful, warm and funny. He slotted in with our group and we had a great time with him. The tour is really well set up, we spent the first half of the tour exploring food related delights at the Beerenberg Farm and a local dairy Udder Delights where we the best double brie. Then after most of the cycling is done - where the views are amazing - you move to the wine at Shaw and Smith and the Lane, both fantastic.
Great tour; would book it amazing. First time on an e-bike and we all wondered why we haven’t done it before. Zippy and way more fun than a tour bus!
Huge thank you Dan for being fun, warm and a delight.

I booked the Hahndorf Bike & Wine tour for myself (late 20s) my mum and her friend (mid to late 50s) in mid April and it was an absolutely highlight of our trip to Adelaide! I recommend this A+ experience and would certainly return and try another tour next time we’re in Adelaide.
Bikes: I have a cycling background so I opted to ride my own gravel bike, while my mum and her friend used the supplied E-bikes. The e-Bikes themselves were good quality mid-range hybrid bikes and in good repair. I secretly wished I’d opted for an e-bike too!
Guide: Our tour guide was Dan and he was fantastic - very friendly and patient. He explained to each person how to use their bike. Perfect balance of friendly and social, knowledgeable about the local area whilst giving us space to enjoy and chat amongst ourselves.
Route: a local loop about 20kms with 350m elevation gain, mix of gravel, off road and sealed roads. A few steep pinches, but all easily manageable on e bikes with medium fitness. Probably the least enjoyable part of the ride was through the Hahndorf township just due to traffic but Dan ensured the group was managed and safe.
Experiences: we stopped at Beerenberg strawberry farm, Udder Delights, Shaw & Smith for a wine flight and finished at The Lane. Each place was a delight. All great experiences with hospitable staff. It was a lot to fit in, but I still felt we spent a generous amount of time and each place and didn’t feel rushed.
For me, the strawberry picking was a highlight (and we enjoyed fresh strawberries for days after!); when we arrived it wasn’t too busy (despite being school holidays) which meant we get to enjoy picking with just our group plus a few others - it was much busier later in the day when we went to pick up our strawberries!
I also particularly loved the Shaw & Smith wines. It’s a beautiful venue with stunning views. Fortunately there was enough room in the bike pannier bags to fit plenty of wine bottles!
In summary: I would absolutely recommend this tour & BikeAbout to anyone of any age who is interested in exploring what Adelaide hills has to offer. It was a perfect way to get out and about and discover some places we wouldn’t have looked into otherwise. Thank you to Dan & the BikeAbout team for a great day and we look forward to trying some of the other tours!

We had a fantastic memorable time on our tour. Every day provided different and interesting rides . Bikeabout had planned a well balanced itinerary with support when it was needed. All our eating and coffee experiences were amazing I didn’t want the tour to end !!!
