About
Iron Pot Bay Vineyard is a family-owned vineyard, located in the picturesque town of Rowella in Tasmania's Tamar Valley. Our vines were originally planted in 1988, and have been producing excellent, cool-climate wines since 1991. Our cellar door and tasting rooms are located in a century-old cottage adjacent to the vineyard. Come visit us, taste our wine and be part of our story.

The wine highlight of our Tasmania trip.
Fantastic little winery run by a mother daughter team that welcome you like friends. The wine was superb. So much so that we purchased a bottle of everything and will definitely be joining the wine club when it's up and running. Ashli is a young dynamic winemaker who is already winning awards and clearly has a big future. The cellar door is a gorgeous little historic cottage with a great family story. If we every go back to Tassie, Iron Pot Bay will be our first stop. We are very grateful that they ship to the mainland!

Wonderful Small Vineyard with great backstory
Loved our hour here with Julieanne. A brave new winemaker working with her daughter Ashli Rose. The wines are beautifully made and it was one of those lovely real moments understanding the story behind the winemaker and picking up lots of local knowledge and history. Amazing old cottage worth the trip on its own. Well worth finding your way there.

Amazing new tricks (wines) from an ‘old dog’
We hadn’t revisited Iron Pot Bay winery for a number of years and WOW … it’s still a picturesque location and really welcoming staff (no longer a restaurant unfortunately) and their wines are top shelf. Their Blanc de Noir is stunning, pinot is very good and the outstanding surprise is their limited edition desert wine … what a find, it’s such an exceptional sticky (especially for those that don’t like sweet wines). Thanks for a great experience.

How lovely was it to have Julianne all to ourselves while doing our tasting. Very good wines, lovely hospitality with no pressure to buy. Will be ordering more online.

So glad that we stopped into this small winery. Very friendly small establishment with outstanding wines. Happy to spend our $$ with winemakers who clearly care about their wines and their customers. We will be back and will recommend to others. Thank you!

We stumbled across Julianne’s winery and were very glad we did - it was our favourite winery visit in Tamar Valley. Friendly, knowledgeable and down-to-earth host, passionate and hard-working, serving delicious wines, our favourite was the Pinot Meunier!
