We went to Skalne Mesto on a day trip from Poland. It’s an extraordinary place, with the most amazing, huge rock formations, beautiful Nature and some history, too. It’s an easy hike (there’re some steep steps to some of the rocks) perfectly suitable for kids over 7. The lake has stunning colours and some huge fish - however, it’s forbidden to swim there (which is a shame, as the water looked very inviting, but I guess they just really care about Nature and wildlife, which is great). It took us about 5 hours to complete the hike - I went there with my 71-year-old Mum, my teen daughter and her friend. I would also recommend the Jidelna (?) restaurant in town, where you can get the most tasty fried cheese with tartare sauce. Overall, it was a great family day out.
