About a 30-minute drive from the town of Palenque is the Misol-Ha waterfall, a single cascade of approximately 100 feet. Upon arrival, we followed the path that winds its way behind the cascade, stopping to take numerous photos. Having planned ahead we wore our swimsuits under our clothes and we both swam in the refreshing waters of the pool formed... More

Swimmable lake under the waterfall, no risk of undercurrent and drowning, sometimes you see a howler monkey in the trees overhead. You pay a roadtoll for some farmers "owning the road" (10 peso) and the entrancefee for the falls themselves. You'll need a car to get there. Good road, shouldn't pose a problem for a rental car.

If You're on the region and on the way to San Crostobal or agua azul, it's worth stoping by taking a few pictures. It's a nice setting and beutiful waterfalls, if you plan to swim better wait and head to agua azul

Only four of us in a group of 12 decided to swim, but it was worth it, a bit of a scramble to get down the rocks into the water barefoot, but once in enjoyed floating on my back, looking up at falls. Not sure if i was supposed to swim out. A lot of kids were hanging on a... More

However it s a great spot to relaxe and have a nice break. The road for it is really messy with a lot of stops and holes in the road.

This was a great falls to visit. Only a few people there. There is a nice walking path behind the falls....wear tennis shoes ...can be a bit slippery but safe to do. Great photo ops. There is a roped off swimming area although we chose not to go swimming that day. Looked like a very nice restaurant near the parking... More

I didn't realize this would be such a huge waterfall, 35 meters high, cascading dramatically off a cliff into a large picturesque pool. You can just stop by the road and take pictures. But much better: wear non-slip shoes and follow the path up behind the waterfall. It's wet, be careful. Great views. At the end of the path is... More

Easy parking by the restraunt, gradual slpe down to the water fall and for those more nimble a chance to walk behind the fall itself. Although signs prohibit swimming several you bucks and their girls were taking advantage of the waters on that hot day. You should if in the area make the trip here. Decent well priced food at the...
