Wonderful sands, like all of the beaches around the Margate area. Great cafe, it's the one from the Humans TV series where Mia works. Saw a seal swimming in the bay when we were here.

A great beach, something for everyone - golden sand, rock pools, views, cafes close by and, just round the corner, a view all the way to Reculver and the setting sun.

Great walk today in sunshine. Beach so clean despite recent storms and calm sea. Looking forward to summer x

A sandy bay with the best sunsets for hundreds of kilometres or miles. Save swimming as there are little or no currents. At high tide you can walk along the promenade for miles. Margate and the Turner Contemporary are within 45 minutes walk.

A great beach for swimming as the beach shelves gently. If the weather is north east very good for bird watching

A tidal sandy beach with a sloping shallow sea. Weather is more often than not warmer and sunnier than surrounding area. Nearby cafe is a real must see. A fabulous family day out.

I love further along in Westbrook Bay and you are allowed BBQs after 6 pm. I think it is the same all along this coast line.

Dogs are NOT allowed between 10am and 6pm every day. Before 10 high jinks are enjoyed by all social dogs and their owners. In good weather sometimes the beach is still full after 6pm and I think it's best to keep dogs... More
