Tripadvisor’s approach to reviews
Before posting, each Tripadvisor review goes through an automated tracking system, which collects information, answering the following questions: how, what, where and when. If the system detects something that potentially contradicts our community guidelines, the review is not published.
When the system detects a problem, a review may be automatically rejected, sent to the reviewer for validation, or manually reviewed by our team of content specialists, who work 24/7 to maintain the quality of the reviews on our site.
Our team checks each review posted on the site disputed by our community as not meeting our community guidelines.

The road sign tells you everything you need to expect. Its a big gum tree. The signs at the big gum tree tells you its a really big river red gum. It might not be California giant redwood skyscraper tall, but it is indeed a very, very big gum tree. Enjoy it for what it is.

Yeah it was a very large tree. We have seen many other big trees in our travels. I wouldn’t travel out of your way to see it but if you’re passing through it’s worth the little detour out of town.

It is just a short walk out of town, along a creek: easily walked but also accessible by vehicle if that is preferred. Plenty of birdlife along the creek and an impressive river red gum.

It looks like its six trees in one. Large, but not the biggest or most impressive I've seen. Easy to find and 3 mins from the city centre.

It is a worthwhile detour off the main road to see this 500 year old tree. Nearby is a pleasant spot for a picnic.

Great to visit. The Lions park not too far from here was a great place for picnic lunch, with walking trails BBQ’s and clean well maintained amenities. Orroroo nice place to visit, friendly people and good grocery store. 24hour fuel with after hours pay by card pumps. Don’t forget to check out Magnetic Hill a short drive from town.

A giant red gum approximately 500 years old with a circumference of 10.89meters. Situated just out of Orroroo town and only meters off the highway. Welk worth seeing.
