My wife and I brought our boy to Whiteman Park specifically for this ride, which only runs from 11am to 1pm on Wed/Thu and from 11pm to 4pm on Sat/Sun. A$8 per adult for this 25-min train ride, toddlers from 2-6 years of age pay only A$2. My boy thoroughly enjoyed himself and the nice train driver also made sure... More

Worth to visit if you have not ride a traditional old train in Aus. The train has started to serve since 1932. Short trip but enjoyable.

My wife and i took our 18 month old son along to this and we had a brilliant time. He loved going on the trains, hanging out the window and pointing at everything as we went past. He also loved the farm petting zoo, the fire engines (which he could climb on) and the vintage buses. There were lots of... More

Great for all the train enthusiasts out there. Whether toddlers who love Thomas or real train "geeks". Really enjoyed the train guard and his enthusiasm - all aboard!

Memories of times gone by when you hop aboard the Bennett Brook Railway at Whiteman Park. Reasonable fares and family passes available. The very front and the very back have upholstered seats but the middle section has wooden benches. Great for kids to experience an old fashioned steam train. Keep your eyes peeled for the wildlife. This is certainly worth... More

Picnic at Whiteman Park led to a ride on the trains, so glad they have started running again. Little ones really enjoyed riding around. May even find time to take them again during this school holidays. Hoping that I can take the little one on a steam train next holidays, will have to keep my eye out for it. Keep... More

Unfortunately services have been temporarily suspended on the Whiteman Park railway due to damage caused in recent bushfires. In any event, during hit weather services don't operate due to the risk of causing fires. It certainly looks like an impressive railway and I hope to try it if its operating on my next visit.

The steam train still has magic. Even the smallest child is captivated by it. This is a perfectly run short trip through the bush with open carriages simply set up by real railway enthusiasts. There is chuffing and puffing and a whistle. A proper station and a few little laughs along the way. Your ticket will get you repeat rides... More

I must say..it is just a train for some people. But for my kids..it was awesome. The company maintained the train very well. They are friendly and knowledgeable in the history of the train. The fee is reasonable and you might get discount if you jumped in at their last trip. The kids would love this attraction.

For only A$8 an adult, I travelled on the lengthy Bennett Brook Railway. The volunteers have converted some former narrow gauge carriages to run on even narrower tracks. The main station (Whiteman Park Junction) has remnants of the previous buildings from a major Perth suburban station (Subiaco). The trip runs through great bushland, while the stations are very well presented.... More
