Veteran motor vehicles make an interesting show
May 2021
The Motor Museum of Western Australia has an interesting display of veteran motor vehicles. Many of the vehicles are quite rare, including interesting racing cars. Australian-built cars from days gone by are on show. The Motor Museum of WA is located at Whiteman Park in the Upper Swan Valley. Motoring enthusiasts will be rewarded by a visit.

Great to visit for everyone

The motor museum has so many cars and objects of interest we both loved it, and the volunteer who run it were so knowledgeable and happy to chat. I was pleasantly surprised by how much time we spent there, definitely worth a visit if your a car enthusiast or not.

Great place for motor enthusiasts

It's free to enter the park but the transport attractions attract a fee or donation. There is so much to see in the Motor Museum, fabulous restorations of old vehicles, the style and glamour of the earlier designs, etc, etc. I decided to view the miniatures and scaled replicas and didn't get past the first building. So, so many on display. By the time we departed we decided that we had enough and the Tractor and Revolution Transport Museums could wait to another day. If you are a motor fanatic, the Motor Museum is a "must see."

Paradise for rev-heads

The Motor Museum of WA has over 200 vehicles on display, from the horse and carriage era to the present day. It's one of the largest privately-owned collections of vehicles and motoring memorabilia in Australia. The collection ranges from F-1 racers to unpretentious Holdens. It will take an hour or two to inspect the collection.

Perfect way to spend an afternoon

Incredible opportunity to view classic cars from many different eras & areas of the world. There is a lot to see and things are well spread out. We spent 90 minutes there but could easily have been there for 3 hours. Each car tells a story. We might have benefitted from a guided tour if those had been available but really enjoyed it nonetheless. If you know any gearheads take them here!

Well worth a visit!!
Nov. 2019
I took my parents to the Motor Museum with no idea what to expect, hoping that they would enjoy themselves but not expecting to get much out of it myself - we all loved the experience! The staff are very friendly, there was a huge collection of cars amazingly restored with accessible fascinating information on each. Its based in Whiteman Park nearby to Caversham Wildlife Park and a kids water play area so could easily spend a day in Whiteman park. If you have even the smallest interest in cars you'll enjoy the motor museum, and I expect enthusiasts will have an even better time discovering all the cars there.

Went for ride through the countryside.......

I was just driving around and stumbled on this place in the middle of nowhere. The museum has a large supply of Aussie and American cars not to mention tons of motorcycles and model cars/toys. The museum staff is very knowledgeable and is open for conversation. Plan on spending a good 2 hours to see every car, truck, motorcycle and toy on exhibit. There is a lot to see and I must have taken over 100 pictures of rare cars. Parking is free and for car enthusiasts, admission is a great deal! I'll go to this place again next time in the Perth area.

Wow, I was pleasantly surprised by the museum. It has a huge range of cars dating back over 100 years.
