Tripadvisor’s approach to reviews
Before posting, each Tripadvisor review goes through an automated tracking system, which collects information, answering the following questions: how, what, where and when. If the system detects something that potentially contradicts our community guidelines, the review is not published.
When the system detects a problem, a review may be automatically rejected, sent to the reviewer for validation, or manually reviewed by our team of content specialists, who work 24/7 to maintain the quality of the reviews on our site.
Our team checks each review posted on the site disputed by our community as not meeting our community guidelines.

Sephora used to help customers choosing all kinds of make up. Went to their location Pitt Street Mall in Sydney. Asked three floor Consultants about particular products only to be told "go to front of store" "go to side section". Not one young lady offered to help in any way. They were all Information guides. I gave two stars for the lovely store layout and numerous products.

This is a well preserved history of the town and some of its people. Heritage listed and staffed by volunteers this free trip into history is well worth the time!! Easy parking and linked to the war museum. Great little town!

Loved seeing how different a shop was back in 1920s era. The building and shelving is all beautifully preserved, there are photos to show what it would have been like when fully stocked, advertising from back in the day, and of course the Cash Carrier. The only one still operational in its original store! Its like the game Mouse trap to carry money, so cool.
The volunteer who talked to us was exceptionally knowledgable about the shop and how it operated, everything was so interesting, i highly recommend talking to the volunteers, they really make the experience something special.
Out the back is another collection of farm machinery, fascinating in itself, especially the comments made by the original collector of the items.
And out in the back carpark area is a collection of miniature farm machinery which was hand made to be seen, amazing in itself

Lovely old building and displays. Well worth having a look and free to enter. John was a wealth of information about the building and exhibits. Some lovely preserved pieces of history.

We would have walked by if we hadn't been told to check in at the library to enter the museum. A fantastic look at the way things used to be. Had a great chat with the librarian about local things, a surprisingly good stop on our tour along the Canola Trail

This store has some wonderful products from my parents era in the window. Inside it has some empty shelves with pictures to show what it looked like. There are other rooms with historical photographs.

The gem is the Lamson cash ball system. This is a gravity fed system to send cash and invoices back and forth to the accounts staff. i think it may be the last of its kind in the world. The volunteer staff are keen to explain its use and demonstrate how it works.

A little gem, with interesting displays and the volunteers were knowledgeable and helpful. The crochet collection is amazing! The museum is not large but definitely worth a visit.

Like walking back in time, how shopping used to be, original shelves, working cash railway system to pay office, a fascinating collection of crochet fashion and other varied collections on display. Guide volunteer was friendly/knowledgeable and happy to show us around. You must visit even to experience how shopping has changed to now a cashless society and online buying.

We enjoyed our visit to this beautiful collection. It has a variety of exhibitions to cater to all interests. The Mavis Furner fashion collection was exquisite! My husband enjoyed the old farming collection and steam engines models. There is a working Lanson Cash Railway which I remember operating in Sydney’s Mark Foys. It was used to send cash for items bought to the cashier’ office. Our volunteer guide was great and it is free entry!
