Large church with two towers. 1 euro entrance allows you to walk everywhere including climbing both towers and taking photos through movable sections of the wire grilles. Interesting because the spiral staircases rotate in opposite directions. They have an extensive collection of nativity scenes from...More

For 1 euro, you get to walk every inch of this deconsecrated old church, from the cisterns below to the tip of the bell tower. History of the world, Christianity and Christmas, plus an exhibit on the Semana Santa.

The €1 entry fee is well worth it for the wonderful views you get from the towers. They are accessed via a small metal spiral staircase and both the towers can be climbed. The church itself is quite simple inside with one golden altar.

The backdrop to the alter is a mass of gold ornamentation stretching from floor to ceiling. The climb to the top of the church towers (pick one or the other) rewards you with amazing views out over town and further afield. Certainly worth a visit.
