The park may be worth visiting, but it is so hard to get it done. There are too many hurdles that one needs to overcome before one can join one of the expensive excursions (unless you are a local). Virtually nothing is written in an other language than Spanish except for the prices. It is clear that foreigners must pay... More

To keep it short. If you have only time for one park skip Ischigualasto, the so called Valle de la Luna, and visit Talampaya. It is much more impressive and reminded us of Monument Valley but much less crowded. It has beautiful red rock formations, canyons, prehistoric drawings on rocks, you might see a condor and if you book one... More

This place talks about thousands of years of the Earth existence plus a beautiful and unique landscape. The facilities are nice and organized for the tourist visits with several options to enjoy. This place is a great complement with the Moon Valley (Valle de la Luna) in the neighbor province of San Juan, at 200 km distance, other astonishing ancient... More

We were overwhelmed by the incredible landscape. You can see the pictures but the reality is so much more incredible! Is a must. Well organized if a little bit expensive tours, but very enjoyable.

It is a shame the only option is to go on the organised tour bus, and entry into the park is not included in the ticket price, but that's people management. That said the tour was good you just go with it and enjoy the canyon.

The park is quite remove and unfortunately can only be visited using guides. Because of a minor sunstroke a day earlier we chose the 4x4 truck tour. We were surprised by the price of this tour which was over 500 pesos. But we had driven quite a while. The privatly owned tour operator milks out the park (tourists) to the... More

Great desert view on there. There are no great variation on the panorama, but for a "desert man" like me, feel comfortable with that bucolic dryness. On sunset colors come bright

This Park is located in La Rioja Province just off the borderline with the San Juan Province, where contiguously is another Park - Ischigualasto - also known as “Moon Valley”. When Talampaya ends, Ischigualasto starts or vice versa. The Talampaya Park covers an area of 830 sq mi at an altitude 4,921 ft msl. The rocks formation has walls who’s... More

Talampaya its a true natural wonder of the World. Ironically, just a handful of people really knows about it, where is located and what to see. That lack of knowledge, makes it even more special, in my opinion. Located in the border between San Juan and La Rioja provinces, Talampaya National Park its a great attraction and probably one of...
