Tripadvisor’s approach to reviews
Before posting, each Tripadvisor review goes through an automated tracking system, which collects information, answering the following questions: how, what, where and when. If the system detects something that potentially contradicts our community guidelines, the review is not published.
When the system detects a problem, a review may be automatically rejected, sent to the reviewer for validation, or manually reviewed by our team of content specialists, who work 24/7 to maintain the quality of the reviews on our site.
Our team checks each review posted on the site disputed by our community as not meeting our community guidelines.

Only i km off the mainland, the seven outcrops are a paradise for divers and nature lovers with gulls, shags, hoopoes and cormorants in huge numbers. But its the underwater world that is more colourful by far, with corals of vivid colours forming mini-forests. Algae in shimmering shades and grasses have colonised the sandy sea bed close to the coast with heaps of marine life.

The uniqueness of this pure eco-system is rigourously protected. Simply magic.

The Islands are a reminder of what the mediterranean could be like if it was managed better. The fish life was in abundance and some huge fish as well. There are plenty of swim throughs and caverns , chimneys and tunnels to explore. The diving here is easy and suits any grade of diver . There are many dive operators here and they are pretty much equal in prices and gear rental.
There is no shore or night diving allowed but the diving in daylight hours was good.
However the town of Estartit has little to offer in the way of food or night life .It is a town stuck in a time warp with little investment in accommodation which is all old and tired. The standard of food in most places was cheap but pretty awful.

These islands are protected and cannot be landed upon, with the exception of one day in September, when a guided trip is organised.

You can moor next to the islands for free, if you have a boat, with buoys for all sizes.
The snorkelling is excellent as the sea is teaming with fish. If you want to dive, licences are limited, so you must use a dive school.

Glass bottom boat trips are also available from L'Estartit and you can buy tickets on the harbour, or in town.

This may be one of the best dive sites in the Med' as conservation really is working.

No one can land at the islands but the journey around them is enjoyable.

Saw fish in the clear blue sea but not a lot of Birdlife.

A shame our boat was too large to pass through the hole in the rocks.

Worth a visit.
