To actually stand amongst the stones that are all that remain from this once busy fortress city is quite overwhelming. Overwhelming because this inhabited fortress was reduced to rubble only 73 yrs ago! Overwhelming because, once again, we are reminded how destructive man can be....More

This place is just like an abandoned city after WW2, all place is memorable, the stone, the small street, wall, and trottoir from the old city of Kostrzyn is still there in ruin. A church, Palace, Houses all in ruined, remind us of how stupid...More
