We (me, my wife, and sister), all in our early 60's and in decent shape, hiked this in mid-June 2018. We drove there from southern Norway (Farsund) and it took us about 2.5 hours to make the 100 mile trek. The roads there were mostly...More

Kjerag is an amazing hike. You can park at Ørneredet and walk from there. I recommend everyone to take a close look at the terrain, to be well prepared for the hike. The first hill is very steep. Enjoy!

We hiked Kjeragbolten in mid June. Definitely be cautious about the weather. We scoured the forecast and had a window, though it had been raining for days previously and rained after. With the steepness of the first few inclines, I wouldn't attempt in heavy rain....More

We arrived at Kjerag on 4 June around 8 00 am, there are three steep inclines on this trek, the first of which is right at the start, it’s a challenging walk but any walker with a reasonable level of fitness should be ok. There...More

Easy walking hiking trip (maybe for 3 or 4 hours). Beautiful nature scenery at the end of the trip. Popular place to visit that's why there can crowd of people.

The 5 km hike to Kjerag and Kjeragbolten is amazing. A bit challenging on some steeper sections but great views and the end resulting photo (if you dare!) is awesome. Watch for snow on some sections. It is best done in good weather, super slippery...More

Not your average hike that we are used to in Australia. It’s tough but not to tough. Be prepared to be using chains to pull yourself up boulders and if your short like me even getting on your hands to climb up in some places....More

The Kjerag hike was two and a half days long expedition. Taking the ferry through the entire Lycefjord (42 km or roughly 27 miles) was a special treat in its own! After that we drove up the zig-zagy road to the parking lot of the...More

My daughter and I hiked Kjerag. Definitely worth the effort. We arrived early (around 8) and there were still a lot of people, but not near as many as were coming up on our hike down. I recommend arriving as early as possible to beat...More

Nice hike up to Kjeragbolten along with spectacular vistage and views on the way up. A bit challenging but well worth the effort and exertion to arrive.

There are some challenging spots where you have to hang onto a chain to pull yourself up the vertical rock faces. There are steep areas and up and down a lot. The trail goes along the edge of high cliffs in spots. The... More
