I would recommend getting there early, as the parking area is not at all large. It seemed like there were maybe a dozen parking spots for day visitors. The lot was full when we arrived, but we were told to try back in 45 minutes. We were pleased to get a parking spot after passing the time. During our trip,... More

We made a quick stop at this park to hike to the waterfalls and visit their beach area. The hike to the falls with short but a lot of fun- crossing the stream at multiple locations, walking along logs- a lot of fun for kids. The small beach area was nice with a great sunset.

Lovely hike 10 miles south of McWay Falls [ entrance to the left]. $10 parking fee. Lots of camp ground by the creek. Rest room maintenance is very average. Falls hike is a little short of 2 miles amidst redwoods and either beside or on the creek. There are not too many signs in the trail, but the path is... More

Easy hikes to both the falls and kilns. Ground soft and spongy with lots of little river crossings. Impressive falls with beautiful pool at bottom. Beach attached to park also, with awesome views.

We stopped at Limekiln State Park on our drive along the Coast. Its a pretty state park with a campground and nice beach area. Note: The park now is privately run. We have an annual state park pass which is supposed to be good for the state parks; this park does not accept it.

Parking lot is small and limited to how many people so we were lucky someone was leaving. Beautiful trail, creek and waterfall. Nice easy hike that's not too difficult.

We went to see whales which was impossible given the rough seas, but the park is very nice and well maintained. We did go down a trail, got the name of a tree we had been wondering about and got to see an incredible bird show out on the water.

My niece and her guy got hitched in this magnificent setting, the tranquility, the energy and beauty made this one of the most magical weddings and moments - I will surely never forget.

This hike is only a half mile to the waterfall into the forest and back out. Short hike, easy, accessible, and very calming. Unfortunately, the waterfall was overhyped and not too impressive. The limekilns were neat to see as well, which is an additional half mile into the forest from the entrance.

There are two short walks in the park. One takes to up to the old lime kilns through the Redwoods. The second walk takes you to a waterfall which is not very impressive. The walk to the waterfall is also more difficult.
