I did a day-hike here with my friend on our weekend road-trip to Big Sur over Christmas time. Thoroughly enjoyed the trail, felt like I am in fairy tale like forest. I got a couple of good shots of the water fall. The trails were...More

There is only so much time to explore the wonders of Big Sur. We had to prioritize our time and with some other hikes closed this was on the top. We were not disappointed. Pros- This is a place with everything. We started out with...More

The variety of scenery is second to none. Rivers, waterfall and beach can all be seen if you visit this park. The hike is has a nice path and is not challenging.

This is a rugged hike that takes off from a campground. There are several stream crossings across slippery planks - was wishing I had my hiking poles - but it was worth it to get to the falls

Both ways into Big Sur were closed due to the landslides so we had to drive through Hunter Liggett this road is very curvy. We took our 24 foot Coachmen and would not drive it with an RV again. Cars and trucks are good just...More

This hike was about 10 minutes from Treebones Resort. Highway 1 is closed both north and south so we were lucky to have this gem available when we visited Big Sur. It is an easy hike, $10 to pay at the check in booth and...More

The park was in great shape, post crazy winter. Where trails have been altered do to the winter, both park staff and those using the trails have created safe crossings in order to make the trail passable by all

Nice hike that is pretty easy with a beautiful path - cool to see the actual lime kilns too! Easy parking and a great little beach area under the bridge for a picnic.

You can reserve online or call 800-444-7275. I would say minimum of three months ahead maybe earlier than that. It is a cozy small campground. But there are many state campgrounds in this region

There were additional (6) parking spots in front of the shower area. It would be best to call the campground, because there is definitely no parking on highway 1 or anywhere outside of the campground close by.
