Great day we chose to do the drive and see these great bridges that were constructed not just for function, but beauty as well

Just a dozen miles or so south of Carmel is the Bixby Creek Bridge. There are two vantage points for viewing. It is rustic, but if you want to take the best shots of your like, please don't miss this.

A must stop on your travels along Highway No. 1. Be careful pulling over because plenty of other people are doing the same thing. Nonetheless, it worth some time to study this architectural wonder. How in heavens name was it built so many years ago?

Very beautiful bridge, great photo location. From the north you have a spot where you easily can stop with your car. You also have another stop from the south, a bit further away.

Need to approach from the north, but it's not a very long drive from Carmel by the Sea and it's a pretty drive with lots of pull outs
