I think flip flops are fine! But I think wearing shorts or tights would be appropriate.. I would go to purchase something cheap.. something you won't mind getting dirty and swimming in.

When we arrived; we were given a locker. We paid $10; however, this was refunded when you turned in the key. We put on sunscreen and bug spray prior to putting our things in the locker. We did not experience any mosquitos... More

Yes they will come and pick you in front of your hotel I believe it was $45 per person. We was staying in cancun during our stay so you should ask before buying anything... Hope it was helpful
