We attended as a couple and shared the experience with 9 others. I thought that 11 "students" may detract, but the space and layout accommodated the group. Chef Pablo was entertaining with a passion for his craft. I believe everyone in the class learned something from this master of cooking. It is "hands-on" with everyone contributing to the preparation of... More

We like to take cooking classes when we travel, as a way to meet other travelers and learn a bit about local culture as well as food. Our recent course at the Little Mexican Cooking School was among the best we've ever experienced anywhere. Extremely well-organized in a large and welcoming space, this course was intensive without being taxing, we... More

On a family trip, four of us are SO happy we signed up for this cooking class. Chef Pablo was a perfect host and not only showed us how to make some fabulous dishes but also explained the "why" things are done a certain way. I would highly recommend.

It was the 4th time to Puerto Morelos for my husband and I. We have noticed The Little Mexican Cooking School for several years and decided to finally give it a try. I am a chef as well and wondered how they handled this arrangement and was not disappointed! Thank you Chef Pablo for an amazing experience and will pass... More

It has been 2 years since we had this most wonderful experience. The casual, sometimes on hand class was delightful. The full course lunch was so good. We had plenty to eat starting with a continetal breakfast, drinks and plenty tastings. Our husbands joined us for the actual lunch for a small fee. We are returning in two weeks and... More

The Little Mexican Cooking School is a quaint establishment that’s big on value. It’s connected to the hacienda-style Casa Caribe, a bed and breakfast, and a short walk to the beach. My sister and I paid about $40 USD for the taxi ride from our resort in the Mayan Riviera (Royalton Riviera). I had easily booked and paid for a... More

I loved learning how to cook homemade foods like the locals in this part of Mexico. It was great to learn the history of cooking in the Yucatan and to learn about local fresh ingredients. I loved loved trying all the different salsas and guacamole. If you like to cook I highly recommend taking this class if you're in Puerto... More

I attended a day at the school in May, 2016. The site is very pretty with plenty of shade and fans, on the veranda of a beautiful B&B. I was amazed and thrilled at the variety of foods we cooked. A highlight for me was the MANY different ways we learned to use various types of peppers. So much food... More

First off, Chef Cristobal Tamariz needs a YouTube channel because he not only has the spunk for a show but he has the KNOWLEDGE and TIPS us amateur chefs need to survive! My sister and I had a very nice day cooking authentic Mexican cuisine with Chef Cris. We had a smaller class size of 3 which was perfect because... More
