Palace was a low scale copy of the other bigger palaces we had seen. Still nice to visit but not as elaborate. Park was a disappointment as it is billed as amazing and is intact manly forest and woodland

We loved Pavlovsk's Palace, mainly because though it is a 'palace' it feels homier than others we have see. Also, I wish we had had the time to investigate the grounds, as the pictures on this page are beautiful.

Very green and romantic park. It has an amazing amounts of squirrels running around that are entertaining to feed. A day ticket means unlimited entries during the day so you can return to the park later in the day if you decide to leave. It...More

Unlike other palaces, this one extensively uses white marble and bright, cheerful colors. Hands down this was my favorite interior of all the palaces I saw in St. Petersburg area. I especially loved the bedroom and great hall. Pavlovsk extensively draws on Rome and Greece...More

While less popular than the bigger Catherine Palace this is in the same area (about 7km away - and there is a story as to the distance......) it is a nice palace to visit and the grounds are pretty. There are even "Roman Ruins" that...More

Attended at 2001 Pavlovsk Palace and park impresed us deeply. Wild and regular at same time. It was our honeymoon time and we enjoyed this voyage. It's difficult to describe the preciousness of small trails, hidden pavilions and statues you'd better watch yourselves.

What we liked the most about the Palace was looking at the old pictures taken just after the Germans had destroyed the Palace and how it looks in the present. Amazing that the Palace wasn't just completely demolished rather than reconstructed. Quite a testament to...More

We were on a guided tour and were delighted to visit this palace. It was wonderful, both inside and outside. I particularly liked walking in the gardens and seeing the Temple of Friendship ion the lake

My wife and I will be visiting in September. How long did it take you to get from SP to the Pavolvsk palace? Are there any other smaller, more off beat sites or palaces or museums to see in the area. We have seen the biggies on past visits to SP?

I'm sorry I don't remember how long it took to get to Pavlovsk Palace because we were with a guide, didn't drive ourselves and made other stops along the way. One museum in town that we particularly liked was the Defense... More
