Very pretty, functioning monastery (with monks walking around/one engaged me in English). The church is beautiful with paintings both outside on the walls and inside. No charge but they have a lot of people coming to buy offering candles and praying and they will accept...More

Visit it. Free of charge although donations are accepted . Very tranquil and old place where you can see the caves where real monks lived ... makes you wonder...

This monastery is one of the oldest in Romania. It's a very beautiful place to visit with your family and friends, but is also a crowded place.

Worth a visit. Artifacts from 1803...nice wood carvings/ paintings plus classic window painting. Will take probably 30 minutes to walk around and more if you like to appreciate the serenity near the river.

Arrived here from Curtea de Arges, after a beautiful drive through the Carpathian Mountains. The building is very nice. We dud not go inside.
