The Comú d'Encamp showed some vision when they bought this abandoned time capsule of a dwelling. It is scrupulously preserved with the inhabitants' belongings on display so as to give the observer vivid insight into the details and structure of their hard and simple peasant lives. This little museum is well staffed with charming informative guides who have done their... More

I thoroughly enjoyed my visit to Cal Cristo. The house is a time capsule which is well worth seeing. The guide was a true professional and she really made the tour something special. The rescued dog at the front door is sweet too.

The house, on 4 floors, situated slap bang in the middle of Encamp village, was the home to three generations and, of course, their livestock. The 5€ entrance includes a interesting one hour guided tour. Tours are... More

Casa Cristo is a house that has been preserved. Even though it is in a built-up part of the town is is a rural dwelling, almost a farmhouse, set up as it would have been lived in about a hundred years ago. I found it enchanting and loved the fittings. Visitors are guided round, which is a pleasant experience although... More
