Tripadvisor’s approach to reviews
Before posting, each Tripadvisor review goes through an automated tracking system, which collects information, answering the following questions: how, what, where and when. If the system detects something that potentially contradicts our community guidelines, the review is not published.
When the system detects a problem, a review may be automatically rejected, sent to the reviewer for validation, or manually reviewed by our team of content specialists, who work 24/7 to maintain the quality of the reviews on our site.
Our team checks each review posted on the site disputed by our community as not meeting our community guidelines.

Fort Bravo. As a country and western fan this was right up my street 😁 Brilliant day had well worth the money. You would think you were in a western town. The cowboy 🤠 show acting was in Spanish but you could understand the play act with out understanding the language

I’d say this is one of the most impressive places I’ve been too in the world and especially in Europe. The landscape is out of this world and it really feels like you’ve travelled to somewhere in the United States rather than Spain.

A must visit when in the area. Also, consider visiting one of the Hollywood/Western theme parks like we did!

Tabernas Dessert is a dessert located in Almeria region, in the south part of Spain. Here a lot of westerns films are done. In fact there are some scenaries of films. Moreover, the place is a curious site, where you can see fantastic landscapes, that you do not expect. Cery interesting and unknown.

We went to the Tabernas desert and had an Airbnb near Mojacar. It's a beautiful drive of you take the road via Sorbas. Amazing views. On internet you can find walks and you really don't see anybody there. We found different locations where they filmed Lawrence of Arabia and The good, the bad and the ugly. And I don't mean the parcs like Mini Hollywood, go and explore yourself. Amazing to make pictures and if you enjoy nature

A great day out, even out of season. We went in Feb,so no crowds easy to park, and a great coffee.
The shows were not available on the day we went, but it was a Friday and out of season. We spent over 3 hours here, with great views,so plenty to take pics of.The hang mans noose was great fun,as was able to snap,my husband in this situation.
OK it is NOT BLING BLING,but was a great day,not too hot,we enjoyed every moment.
The drive was amazing, enough olive trees to keep the world in Olives,it took us over a hour to get there, but this flew by due to the scenery.
Clint Eastwood and Lee van Cleef were not around,or any Souxi Indians, but the scenery made the expectation of this,in front of the car,not difficult to imagine.
You could imagine the filming, and hear the iconic music, yes you can wander around at your own pace, just when you have seen it all, up pops more,
The only disappointment was when you pay,it would of been nice if he had been dressed up,as a cowboy, but was friendly.
The staff did some tricks on the horses,I suspect out of season few visitors,so staff probably not so enthusiastic, as in season.,
lovely amble around.

Just 15 minutes outside Almeria (visit the Alcazaba!) is this desert that is proudly dubbed the only desert in Europe. It's not a sandy place, rather a rocky sandy mountaneous place that offers view from everywhere and to everywhere, home to many movie sets from Indiana Jones, Clint Eastwood Westerns, Conan The Barbarian and more recently Game of Thrones. Rather than visit the obvious "western movie sets where actors reenact gunfights and lasso shows, we walked around, drove around and after some research (there are very detailed maps) we did our own thing and visited abandoned (and dericilict) movie sets in desolate landscapes (almost) without any other tourists and we loved it. I reckon the Western Leone and other Hollywoodian venues will please children more, but for adults I think we did what we liked better. And we did like it tremendously! If you're in the area you really should visit this unique setting, even unprepared you'll find wonderful places and marvellous views. Count half a day!

This is such a rip off. 10 euros each. Only 3 other people there and all left within the hour. Family live on site. Granny taken over school room. Man arrived with shopping while we were there . And all their rubbish n bags at v back.. Washing hanging up. Deserted and no where open. Didn't stay for show. Maybe this was performed by guy on horse at advertising sign. All flags so old on this they were gone! Did get asked in bar if we wanted photo taken for 7euros each!!! Declined. Should be shut down. Do not waste your money here.
Oasis Park much better value and well worth a visit, especially for children

About 50mins drive from Mojacar. ~70Euros for 2 adults and 2 children but spent 7 hours there. Wild west town is pretty realistic, although may be a bit disappointing for real spaghetti western fans. Wild west show was cheesy but kids loved it (bit noisy for younger ones). Can only get inside some buildings but plenty to see. Staff were lovely including one of the horseriders who gave my son his "bullets" and it absolutely made his holiday. (You could get photos on the horses which I was almost expecting to have to pay for but it was free). You could dress up and again get photos taken but we gave that a miss.

Zoo is great too, reptile house was amazing, lots of snakes and lizards and poison frogs. Quite a lot of walking but setting is beautiful. Was a bit hot to see many of the animals moving! Again parrot show cheesy and all in spanish so probably would give it a miss unless you really love parrots! Take plenty of water as 2euros for a bottle.

Pool area very busy but good place to cool off and Ennio Morricone soundtrack plays in the background which was very relaxing. Highly recommended.

Truly amazing landscape, roads for riding and generally speaking a different place than what I expected when I was invited to do the round of Spain with our bikes!

Very nice small villages with great places to eat awesome food and meet lovely local people!

We went to Western Leone, which is probably the smallest and the least developed site. It is a little run down, but the most important thing is that the views are still the same as captured in "Once upon a time in the West". For fans of this movie, Western Leone is a must. The main building is well preserved and very interesting. Nature around is nothing short of spectacular. Added attraction is that there are hardly any crowds at this place. The two other Spanish "Hollywood" attractions draw far more people but at Western Leone one could still feel like participating in the movie. There isn't really that much to see and it is not particularly cheap, but it was worth to us. Our children also loved it. The city of Tabernas is also worth a short visit.
