This is an old town, not much to see but great for a quick afternoon getaway if you are in the area. The drive was good from Radda and it has a great view of the valley.

Very secluded, with nice vistas. Worth the visit! And 3 good places to eat. You really got the Tuscan medieval feeling here.

It is a bit of a drive to get there but it is worth it. Magnificent view from an extremely well preserved medieval village.

An intriguing spot - quiet, beautiful, welcoming. Two fine restaurants and the castello has an awesome collection of vintage Chianti wines. Nestled in ther beautiful hills with great views. A quiet spot to unwind.

Volpaia is a small fortified village with much of its architecture unspoiled. It is well worth the drive for an afternoon visit and lunch at one of the "two sisters" restaurants, La Bottaga or Bar-Ucci. It won't take you long to wander, so lingering is...More

We stumbled on this town during a recent visit. It was one of the most charming hill towns we visited in Chianti. Don't miss lunch at La Bottega...great food and views.

Yes there is a place called Bar Ucci that is casual and nice place to have lunch or a drink inside or out. The owners and staff are very friendly. Since valpaia is a Hamlet you won't get lost and can't miss it. The winery... More
