Impressive sight during wet weather
Nov. 2018 • Couples
Torrential rainfall this past weekend (Nov 9-11 2018) prompted a visit to Cascades du Saut du Loup near Tourrettes sur Loup. We had just visited Confiserie Florian's shop at Pont du Loup (also recommended) and the waterfall is only about 1-2 km farther along the magnificent Gorges du Loup.
What a thrill! The roar of the thundering milky-white water and spray in the air were absolutely exhilarating. The walkway provides a marvellous vantage point and the boards underfoot were reassuringly firm and not slippery, despite all the rain. Well worth the detour and the 1EUR per person entry fee (car parking is free)

Great Place

For a small fee(1 euro), you are let into an area with great view of the falls. The falls are nice, and there are different areas to view them. We came from Nice and took a 20 km detour. Load your maps before!

Lovely waterfall

Lovely views of the waterfall. You walk in and there is a viewing point and a couple of stairs to another viewing point. You are not allowed to go near the water.

The entry is 1 euro per person but there is free parking, a public toilet and a restaurant / bar.

The restaurant has an area for people having a meal which has a canopy and 2 tables on the side for people wishing to have a drink. We were asked if we wanted to eat or not and since we just wanted a drink we were sent to these 2 tables but no one ever came to serve us, so we bought some drinks from a vending machine and left.

Swimming is not allowed
Jun. 2017
What good is a great water fall if you are not allowed to dive in?

If it's a security measurement then make sure the area is secured for swimming :/

Amazing place
Jul. 2016 • Couples
We drove to this place from Vence with one nice stop in Tourrettes-sur-Loup. Found the info about this waterfall in the guidebook of Rick Steves - Provence. Wow!!! Such as scenic drive surrounded by high green mountains, river and other waterfalls. On your way you will have few parking spots, you can get out and do a lot of amazing pictures - these places are impressive. Be careful the road is twisty and goes little uphill. Finally we are there!! Pay 1$ per each for entry to waterfall area, but parking is free. Also small cafe here and restroom. We really liked this place - the fresh air, connection with the nature, as well as natural beautiful waterfalls. We've been here about half hour on the route to Gourdon but had a great time and absolutely no regrets about this trip. Fill a full tank of gas before you go!!

Natural place but crowded in summmer

We just take a tour in Gorges du loup by car. Oh my god, we drive slowly to the cascade. We stop at saut du loup and we have a drink. For 1 box we visit the private cascade. Then we went down walking to see an another cascade. This one is more beautiful but equivalent. The power of water is hypnotic .

Worth skipping
Aug. 2014 • Family
Yes, this is a waterfall - and may be the only waterfall in the world with an entry ticket. Albeit it costs just EUR 1, you have to admire the chutzpah of any one charging you to see something that exists in nature. As it is, these are not very impressive or high waterfalls. So why they charge you money to see it, is anyone's guess. If you are driving in high season, watch out - there isn't much parking available. Best to skip it entirely.
