It is a one-lane tunnel, quite spooky but fortunately not much traffic. It is a cheap and exciting thrill. Not recommended to walk there, too much risk because drivers are not expecting anyone walking there.

This tunnel is one of the single lane tunnels on Faroe. The construction was finished in 2006 and was built for the visit of the danish Queen, so she can visit Gasadalur and don't have to hike over the mountains. It's pretty dark in there,...More

In the morning, we took a very scenic drive from our hotel near the airport to Gasadalur. We knew that we would have an opportunity to drive through a tunnel carved into the mountain. This tunnel which was built in 2006 finally made it possible...More

It's not really an attraction. It's a tunnel which allows you to reach easily Gasadalur. After landing I left the arport and took this tunnel to reach the small village of Gasadalur.

This has to be the most money spent on a tunnel per head of the destination’s population. Go the Danes! Another one of these Faroese wonder tunnel’s where one direction has priority and the other has to park up briefly in a dark cave if...More

You travel through the tunnel to view the Mulafossur waterfall at Gasadular. The tunnel is easy to negotiate and the waterfall is definitely worth viewing.

It seems like tunnels has some great roles in the Faroe Islands. As far as I remember, I read somewhere that they have around 20-30 tunnels out of which some are single lanes so the driver at one end of the road will have to...More

We drove under the sea to get to Vagar then through this tunnel to get to the other end of the island. I am becoming more amazed about all the tunnel construction. Wonderful for shortcuts.
