Tripadvisor’s approach to reviews
Before posting, each Tripadvisor review goes through an automated tracking system, which collects information, answering the following questions: how, what, where and when. If the system detects something that potentially contradicts our community guidelines, the review is not published.
When the system detects a problem, a review may be automatically rejected, sent to the reviewer for validation, or manually reviewed by our team of content specialists, who work 24/7 to maintain the quality of the reviews on our site.
Our team checks each review posted on the site disputed by our community as not meeting our community guidelines.

An absolutely stunning tidal pool that is lovely and clean and very safe. The water is rather crisp of course but your body adjusts soon enough. I would definitely recommend going just as it’s getting dark to have the pool all to yourself.

Check out the views from this sizeable pool! Enough space for a good number of people to enjoy the facility. Beware of the rather slippery steps but be sure to go right in. A memorable experience plus a great coffee shop opposite with a loo – very helpful!

A great place to take an early morning dip followed by a great breakfast or just a cup of real coffee. This old tidal pool is one of my wife's favorite spots she likes to drag me to. There is nothing better than wading into the most refreshing water in this easy accessible pool. There are rather basic but clean change rooms where one can change into dry clothing before heading off for breakfast. Our two favorites being the old Olympic Cafe or the newly open Dalebrook Cafe right across the road. When the weather good one must go early to get a parking place and a spot in the many coffee shops.

Very popular tidal pool water temperature varies, as they say it's fine once you're in! Well worth a visit.

Our favourite swim location. Best when the tide is in and to enjoy the boisterous waves breaking into the pool.

Can be littered at times but generally a comfortable family pool.

Nothing like a beautiful day in Cape Town, spent on the beach with children.
Worth a visit.
The prefect place to bring kids for a safe swim in the tidal pool.
Bring suncream and a umbrella

This is the most amazing tidal pool. Kalk Bay actually has 5 tidal pools (well, from St James to Clovelly) to choose from and they are all amazing and each has their own unique personality.
Dalebrook Pool is cleaned by the City Council approximately once a month so expect sparkling water while you swim - often buffeted by waves which can only make you giggle! what an experience to have on offer. Thanks Cape Town City Council for this (and the others) well maintained attraction.

Such a beautiful tidal pool, and a great one to see the sun rise. It’s easy to get to and fairly popular so there are people there. I felt more comfortable wearing shoes that protect your feet as there are spikey anemones, but you can get away without them.
