Tripadvisor’s approach to reviews
Before posting, each Tripadvisor review goes through an automated tracking system, which collects information, answering the following questions: how, what, where and when. If the system detects something that potentially contradicts our community guidelines, the review is not published.
When the system detects a problem, a review may be automatically rejected, sent to the reviewer for validation, or manually reviewed by our team of content specialists, who work 24/7 to maintain the quality of the reviews on our site.
Our team checks each review posted on the site disputed by our community as not meeting our community guidelines.

A 40 minutes walk round trip for us as we’re a little unfit. It is a one km walk to the balconies from the car park. Really beautiful and breathtaking view of a sea of trees. Passed by many toilet bowl looking trees that made me very urgent. Come here if you have some time to spare.

Probably one of the easiest walks in the Grampians. It is fairly level for the 2km return trip from Reeds Lookout car park. The gravel path is clear and wide. The views are amazing in both directions. There are some interesting rock formations en route. It is no longer (not sure if it ever has been!) permissible to sit on the rocks at the Balconies as there are high fences blocking access. There are no public facilities at the car park, eg. toilets, water.

This is about a 1 km walk from the reed lookout and the walk is pram accessible with no inclinations... We travelled with an 8 year and a 2 year old... View from The Balconies is spectacular and a must watch at the Grampains.

Only a short walk with no hills will get you some amazing views of the Grampians. It's easy and peaceful.

From other people's pictures, you will see why this is worth a visit.
Spectacular views but so windy - took our photos and didn't hang around for this reason.
Easy walk to the lookout and sheltered walk. Just windy when you get to lookout.

Start from Reeds Lookout car park, take another easy 2 kms. return walk through rocky outcrops to arrive at the Balconies. The lookout offers panoramic of Victoria Range, Lake Wartook and Mount Difficult. Spectacular views.

This place provided excellent views. There was one look out at the carpark, and then you could walk 1km on a flat path to another look out.
I would suggest doing the walk if you are not in a rush and are not a frail person.
Try to come on a clear day, so you can see the beautiful view well.

Visited on 21st November 2020 as a family (wife and three young children aged 9, 7 and 1).
We were able to walk to the balconies view with the pram, very family friendly and accessible. It’s only a short walk approx 1km to the view and another 1km back to the car park.
Plenty of photo opportunities to take photos along the way.
Amazing and breath taking view.
If you are brave enough, you can walk out to an unprotected cliff ledge for more Insta worth photo shoot, however it is heavily signed warning visitors not to do this (we didn’t do this with our kids but saw your people doing it).

Not much to say...except the view is fantastic and worth the trip. Im only saying more because the site wants more words!....You won't regret the trip to get here. We went via McKenzie falls which were also excellent.
