Great idea, but there are much better ones in the world. About US$20 for adults and that may include most of your kids as they use a height scale not an age scale. When you get to what is clearly the front entry point and then realize you have to walk around the corner from there to buy an actual ticket, you get your first inkling that this place was not well thought out. Amateur paintings that look like they were drawn by high school students, they fail in most areas in their main purpose, i.e. to include YOU in the artwork. Certainly no Photographer was ever involved in its planning. Firstly the paint used is inexplicably gloss instead of matt, so the poorly placed lights cause reflection issues in almost every shot. But that's not all, in shots where you are supposed to include yourself the defined area you are supposed to stand in is not lit at all, ruining the whole effect! They also have no idea about the color temperature of different globes used, so instead of replacing them with standard color throughout that a camera can understand, like say 3200 or 5600 Kelvin, there are random globes everywhere meaning tourists unknowingly are getting orange and/or blue tints introduced to their photos. Just to top it off, a place that is completely empty except for some paint on the floors and walls is absolutely FILLED with security cameras, many of them placed right in the shot people are wanting to take! This is just absolute amateur hour, the Thai can do much better than this

A fun couple of hours. And lots of fun taking the photos. The lights do reflect on some of the displays making the photos not as good. Remember to take your bags off for the photos. A little pricey being 500 baht but lots of fun so worth it. Kids and teenagers will love it. It’s pretty good that they have displays to show you where to stand for the best photos.

Fun experience posing and trying to come up with funny and creative pictures with the various scenes. Wife and I saw this museum when looking around and thought it would be a fun time. We were right. Posted a lot of the pics to family and friends for a good laugh

We made a visit to the trickeye museum with our 3 kids. Our oldest has special needs, she is not in a wheelchair but uses a frame to get around. As soon as we arrived outside we were launched on by a staff member who asked a lot of questions and referred to my daughter as it or she or her & never asked her anything directly. This woman's attitude was disgusting and I am shocked at the confrontation. Under no circumstances would she let our daughter into the building. The security guard was laughing at us. My daughter burst into tears. I am still in shock over the encounter... And there is no one to contact or talk to about it. We were not given any chance to talk, explain or compromise on anything. Shame on you Trickeye Phuket. Disgusting behaviour.

Hi ! Ms. Claire,
I have sent an email replying to your email on the 21st July.I am truly sorry for the situation yesterday, however our point was for the safety of your daughter. Due to the fact that the floors inside Trickeye Museum are slippery, and we highly do not recommend support with wheels to be used inside. As it can become a bad accident. However putting this aside, should you prefer to go in with your daughter, this is also possible but an agreement would have to be signed, that Trickeye is not held responsible should anything happen to your daughter while in our attraction.
In regards to our security guard, I have had a talked with him as indeed it was not an appropriate behavior. Our sincere apologies for this incident.
As a way of saying sorry, should you wish to visit our attraction with your daughter and family we will provide a complimentary free entry for you.
Once again our sincere apologies if we have offended you in anyway, it was truly not our intention.
Best Regards,
Mai

On a day out with our fantastic taxi driver Bow he says to us... "my friend tell me I take Kristian (me.. Kristy) and Mr Neil (hubby) to trick eye" "Whats trick eye"? I ask.... Bow says "I not know but my friend he say its good!" So off we went on a bit of a blind journey.
Well trick eye was AMAZING.... we took Bow in with us as a tip for the day, something he told us he could never afford to do. We all had a great time posing and taking pics of each other and laughing. The staff were helpful about where to stand for the best pics. You might want to ignore some of the little cameras painted on the floor to show the best spots to aim from... they arnt all that crash hot.
We spend ages in there and it was well worth the 500Bht per person.
We even got a voucher for a cheap slushie drink from the vendor for when we came out.

Not a bad place, but I expected a bit more of the big paintings. Buy the ticket via hotels2thailand. com, and it's worth. You've got a member of staff going around with you and taking photos when you need it. There are examples of what to do with this picture, if you didn't recignise at first, but be creative. Those examples are so dull many times. And take your time, because you will realise only after watching your photos that you could have done better. Tip the helper! ;)

Didn't have any expectations before going, just looking for something to do during the afternoon. There were 5 of us, kids and adults. We ALL had a blast. First the place is super clean (which explains why you need to leave your shoes at the entrance). Our whole group really got into it and we took hundreds of photos! Make sure your camera battery is full. Great laughs and something new. Would highly recommend for a few hours. Also, a Thank You to the staff, they were very helpful with taking photos for our whole groups.

I came here with my boyfriend and since it was only us two we couldn't take photos together but one of the beautiful ladies that works there walked around with us and took most of our photos and showed us how to pose. All the staff were so lovely and the paintings are truly amazing. It keeps getting better towards the end !

The Phuket Trick Eye Museum is a fantastic place to spend a couple of hours taking photos and interacting with all the displays. This was my second visit and this time was with children. We all really enjoyed our time here and laughed the whole way through.
There are so many different areas and you put yourself in all of the pictures that are on the walls and floor etc. Then take photos, it really looks like you are in the paintings. The staff are very helpful as well and will show you the best places to stand and even take photos for you.
The entry fee is a bit steep for tourists at 500baht per adult, but it really is a lot of fun and I would go back again. Phuket Trick Eye Museum is in Phuket Town near the intersection on Montri Road next to the Pearl Hotel.

it's far away! our hotel is near bangla. how we get there cheap? taxi wants 3000
Written 11 April 2018
It's quite expensive if you will ask from thai taxi drivers in patong. I was using online apps for that: Grab taxi (550b) and Toun Taxi (420b). We choose second option because there is a promo and decent and nice drivers. By the way the app needs invitation code- I use this one: SLLWKK.

Is is possible to get to Rassada Pier after visitng here? Will there be transport available or will I have to pre arrange it? Thanks.
Written 29 October 2017
It would be better to arrange transport beforehand because I didn’t see any tuk tuks or taxis around this area..

I thought someone wrote about a Groupon type company that sold cheaper entrances to this museum and other attractions in Thailand. Would love the name of that website, thanks so much!

The museum has ramps, but I don't know how user friendly those ramps were. Call them to check or ask your hotel or travel agent to make sure of wheelchair access.
