Tripadvisor’s approach to reviews
Before posting, each Tripadvisor review goes through an automated tracking system, which collects information, answering the following questions: how, what, where and when. If the system detects something that potentially contradicts our community guidelines, the review is not published.
When the system detects a problem, a review may be automatically rejected, sent to the reviewer for validation, or manually reviewed by our team of content specialists, who work 24/7 to maintain the quality of the reviews on our site.
Our team checks each review posted on the site disputed by our community as not meeting our community guidelines.

Not as promised and paid for. Paid for a Spanish event. They put trays of food in every other table but ours. We had to go cap in hand asking those tables for food. Then the main food item was delivered 30 minutes before the end of the free flow of food was supposed to end. 3.5 hours into a 4 hour event that was supposed to be free flow. I had another event to go to and asked to get mine delivered first. They told me to go away. Then served all the tables who I had to beg for food from previously.

Overall. Very disappointed. I will never ever come back her again.

This was supposed to be a special weekend for this region. I had another event to go to after. No respect. Very sad as I organise heaps of outings.

Visited to taste some Swan Valley gin. Looks like a shed from outside (surrounded by grapevines) but has a rustic and homely interior. The owners are welcoming and friendly. We tried a range of gins - the cumquat gin is a real find, and the other gins were tasty and interesting too. They also make vodka and wines (tastings and cellar door sales are available) and food is available (there were nibbles available, and the pizza oven pizzas smelled delicious). Personal service from the owners is charming and a memorable experience, and a great example of Swan Valley charm. We will return to try the pizzas and nibbles. Great for group visits, too. Recommended.

After a few rounds of wine tasting we decided to make a change and try some gin. While I’m not a big gin drinker, my partner has a liking for it. We shared a gin taster and I was pleasantly surprised how nice their gin tasted!! I was also happy to see they had wine tasting too. We ended up getting 2 bottles of their gin and a case of wines. Staff were friendly and happy to have a good yarn with us. A beautiful view out the back and lovely set up inside. We really enjoyed our time there and recommend stopping in even if you aren’t big on gin. It’s definitely worthwhile and the owner’s dog is gorgeous!!

Good selection of gins to sample for $10 per head. Rustic laid back venue. Server was knowledgeable about the botanicals used and had a lovely welcoming personality. We took a bottle home. Only recommendation would be to waive the tasting fee if bottles are purchased (80$ a bottle) or a min spend was met. This is a common practice amongst wineries and micro distilleries and may incentivize sales even further.

We had a ‘tasting plate’ of 4 small gins, all locally made and using local products. Our server (do not recall her name) was personable, knowledgeable and welcoming. She provided a detailed explanations about what was in the various gins, and how they were made. We also saw and spoke to the gin maker and watched some gin being bottled. Overall, a great experience and highly recommended.
