Tripadvisor’s approach to reviews
Before posting, each Tripadvisor review goes through an automated tracking system, which collects information, answering the following questions: how, what, where and when. If the system detects something that potentially contradicts our community guidelines, the review is not published.
When the system detects a problem, a review may be automatically rejected, sent to the reviewer for validation, or manually reviewed by our team of content specialists, who work 24/7 to maintain the quality of the reviews on our site.
Our team checks each review posted on the site disputed by our community as not meeting our community guidelines.

We spotted an advert for this gallery on the Swan Valley Visitor Centre map and decided to visit, chiefly because it is Aboriginal owned and operated and likely to showcase only authentic Aboriginal Art . We were greeted by the passionate Dale Tilbrook who walked us through and gave pertinent explanations on the various art forms. My wife had been seeking to purchase a carved emu egg for some time and, lo and behold, there sat an authentic carved emu egg on display; a quick sale. We then purchased a nice painting by artist, C. Winmar. I purchased a magnet as memento of our visit. There was a wonderful selection of paintings and wood carved items to accommodate all budgets.

The exterior does not do the galkey justice. Run down and bit of junk around. But wow the art and knowledge, the tastes and gifts. Beautiful. Shop smells wonderful. Worth a visit. We have driven past so many times, right next to oasis. Honestly go have a look. Book a tasting. Local bushtucker, local artists. So good.

Heard about this gallery from a friend.
As soon as you enter the smells of the bush hit you, spices, botanicals. The art on display makes you wish for a bigger wallet, the indigenous display is very informative, a good range of books too. Enjoyed my time here.

A lovely gallery with some fantastic paintings. Unfortunately we are due to fly out in a couple of days so couldn't take any with us - we'll plan better next time.

We love to come to Dale's Gallery, The beautiful art, paintings and so much more. Dale always has some time for a yarn. We got several paintings now and have the eye on a unique painting from R. Hart.
It is a great place to get an understanding of the importance of an artistic medium for aboriginal people (and all others). You can see so much history, pain, happiness, beauty and more in it. We cannot wait to come again. Thank You for providing a place like yours.

Very friendly staff and beautiful artwork, with a great selection of affordable gifts and delicious food items. My 2 year old daughter was made to feel very welcome and was able to play with the stones and baskets on a little table. My family and I would strongly recommend a visit.

Thank you for your kind comments. It was a pleasure to entertain Sophia. We know that kids need to feel welcome so that Mum and Dad can relax and enjoy their experience too. You can also enjoy visiting the emus. Thanks again for visiting us. Dale and Lyall.

we went out to find local herbs and spices to cook "Aussie" food. This was only one of few listed on web search.
We were welcomed and tried many different spices, jams and condiments.

This little gallery is full of surprises. The art is of great interest, including the bark paintings. Some interesting jewellery is on offer, including a quandong necklace for that teenage granddaughter? Pickles and spreads made from native plants are also on display.
My friend, who enjoyed the bark paintings and bought three of them for her home, received a generous discount from the manager.
I enjoyed the conversation with the manager and an inspection of her bush tucker garden where many of the plants appealed to me. I settled for a native spinach (warragal greens) and a small berry bush (the midyim berry, which yields a flavorsome jam). Well worth going back for another look - check out the kangaroo apple bush.
