Tripadvisor’s approach to reviews
Before posting, each Tripadvisor review goes through an automated tracking system, which collects information, answering the following questions: how, what, where and when. If the system detects something that potentially contradicts our community guidelines, the review is not published.
When the system detects a problem, a review may be automatically rejected, sent to the reviewer for validation, or manually reviewed by our team of content specialists, who work 24/7 to maintain the quality of the reviews on our site.
Our team checks each review posted on the site disputed by our community as not meeting our community guidelines.

The staff at the cafe are extremely rude. I ordered my food for my child and waited 30 minutes only to find out my order didn’t go through. My child was hungry and waited patiently. I went to ask about my order as I noticed that some customers who ordered after me, were already getting their food. Furthermore there were 3 girls standing at the back huddled up talking, while only one girl was at the front serving. The manager was very rude and could not even look me in the face to apologise and gave me a refund. I understand things like this happen, but the cafe was VERY quiet and I sat right in front of the ordering table, so I’m very disappointed that they could not even check on this and the manager is clearly not trained to speak to customers respectfully, which is basic hospitality standards. Based on the reviews, nothing has changed and this is a very common reoccurrence. Do not recommend visiting, plus very expensive for a very small place and the animals are placed in very small and sad conditions.

There are animals to cuddle like guinea pigs and rabbits, animals to look at like goats, alpacas and sheep, baby animals to feed like the young pigs. This last one was complete pandemonium with lots of squealing and panicking from both the pigs and and the children. Get there early if you want to feed a guinea pig or they'll all be full and disinterested. It's something to do in the school holidays.

Awesome place for both kids and adults that love animals ❤️.. early mornings are best to have a go at bottle feeding these cute animals. Chose a day with good weather to enjoy it to the max

I took my 3 year old grandson and we had a wonderful time. We got to feed the rabbits and guinea pigs ( with cabbage and carrot so it didn’t matter who had a nibble) and in between other animals there was the bouncy castle, playground and tractor rides. The staff were lovely and there was plenty of hand sanitiser and washing areas.

Attended the animal farm a while ago for a friends daughter birthday. It is increadinbly run-down.
The jumping castle was filthy and looked as though it'd been patched over about 1000 times, very little lawn around the play area so kids were getting dirty - the animal shed stunk and was over run with flies.
Put simply - I don't understand what they are doing with the money you pay to get in - it appears that it's not going into the upkeep of the farm...

I was disgusted to find small cages crammed full with up to 15 guinea pigs sitting in their own poo & urine (which stunk)
Rabbits in the sit down patting area running around humping each other (have fun explaining what the bunnies are doing to each other to your kids)
A Cockatoo in a dome-shaped cage where it can't fly and had no feathers on its belly (don't know the story as to why this Cockatoo had no feathers on its chest, but I do know when birds get stressed they pluck out their own feathers).
A duck and rooster who looked worse for wear and had damaged feathers, and baby goats which looked skinnier than other baby goats I've seen at Agricultural shows.
What more can I say other than as someone who truly loves animals, this experience has left me sad & distraught by the conditions the rabbits, guinea pigs & caged birds, in particular, were kept in & overall very concerned for the welfare of all these animals.

Costs over $30 for one adult and a 3 year old. The guinea pigs and rabbits would run at first touch - clearly not suitable for the petting area.. either that or they were traumatised by the kids in there as they didn't seem to be supervised.
The place was muddy so no pony rides, no train and no merry-go-round. Remind me again what I'm paying for? I was also surprised that no one was required to wash their hands on entry or exit..
It was difficult to find staff - no one was monitoring the children on the bouncy castle so needed to remove the 3 year old as the older kids were far too rough despite signage saying they needed to cater to the younger users.
There are so many other similar places around Perth that are so much more worthy of the money spent.

The rating is given as an average between 2 opinions. Kids will love it silly as there is free flow of feeds for the little furries and will not want to leave the place. Parents, do come armed with your favourite gadgets and you will appreciate this advice when your young ones are just too preoccupied in the pens to care if their parents are still there....

Let me start by saying that this wasn't our family's first choice of a day out. Our first stop was Lansdale Animal Farm ($6 entry, excellent cafe, great playground) but it was closed. I'd been to the Swan Valley Cuddly Animal Farm about 7 years previously with my eldest son, and swore that I'd never go back, but a lot can happen in 7 years, yes? Surely it couldn't still be an overpriced, dirty dust bowl? Oh, apparently it could be. Entry is $13 per person over the age of two, which for a family of five is a lot of money. And what do you get for that $13? A bucket of food to feed the uninterested animals! A chance to pat the angry turkeys! Free tea and coffee! (Nescafe! From a kettle!) A ride on the teeny train! (Which wasn't running!) A pony ride! (Oh wait, no, that's an extra $5.)
We literally stayed here for less than an hour. The pram kept getting bogged in the dirt and mud, my littlest son was more interested in the dirty playground toys than the animals and my eldest son just begged to leave. It was probably the quickest $50 I've ever spent, with nothing to show for it apart from three disgruntled children.

We came today with a 2yo and a 4yo and while the kids enjoyed it they didnt pay the entry fee. $18 is waaaaay too much for an adult and the $13 for kids is too much also. The guinea pigs will need councelling after the number of unmonitored kids chucking them around today. Also the $5 per head extra payment for a 2 min pony ride was exorbitant. Typical for Perth however.....a nice idea in a nice location but totally flogging the entrance fee. We will just go to Lansdale farm in future.

It is AUD 18 per adult and AUD 13 for children (2-15 years old)

How long do u recommend to stay there?
Written 17 January 2019
i wouldnt bother, its not worth the effort. Its too expensive for what you are getting. Try the one in Landsdale which is easy to get to by bus. And much more affordable for the same thing.
