Tripadvisor’s approach to reviews
Before posting, each Tripadvisor review goes through an automated tracking system, which collects information, answering the following questions: how, what, where and when. If the system detects something that potentially contradicts our community guidelines, the review is not published.
When the system detects a problem, a review may be automatically rejected, sent to the reviewer for validation, or manually reviewed by our team of content specialists, who work 24/7 to maintain the quality of the reviews on our site.
Our team checks each review posted on the site disputed by our community as not meeting our community guidelines.

The view is worth the steps. We were lucky to go on a quiet day so enjoyed the walk up the steps in peace and had the viewing decks to ourselves. Its a hot walk but worth it. You dont need to spend too much time here and sure it isnt as enjoyable when crowded.

Easy walk up the well built stairs, with trees in the middle left in place rather than cut down. No entrance fee. No services really either. Pick a day with light winds or you'll regret it. Must cross huge expanse of open ocean with zero protection from swell and wind waves and can be a very rough and unpleasant crossing as it was the day we went.

The views from the top are just phenomenal !!
The climb to the top on the wooden steps is pretty easy. We were there on a quiet day so had a lot of time to take photos and just admire the amazing view.
This place has to be on your bucket list !!

I always wanted to visit this place since I watched the beautiful islands and islets in a docu. I can say now that I saw the most beautiful place on earth. We were lucky to visit it right after the pandemic so the croud wasn't back yet. I'm trullt in love with this place. I wish to see myself again in Piameno again!

It took an entire day to get there from Jakarta, on 2 planes, a ferry, and a motor boat. It was worth every minute of the journey to experience the stunning views.

We decided to forego a visit to Wayag as it was just too far away, and settled on Piaynemo instead. I think it was a great choice, because accessing Piaynemo is much easier, cheaper, and the view is, in my opinion, nearly as good. There are 300 steps to the top and it's a fairly easy climb, done in ten minutes or less. I suggest an afternoon visit that way the sun is at your back and you can get the best possible photos.

I will be honest this place is beautiful but not worth a trip just to go here. If you’re going to be in the area for diving or other things, then worth it. Other than that, it looks exactly like the pictures on the Internet save yourself the trouble and then annoyance of so many people. The tour boats seem in a hurry and they want to get you to the next destination and there’s very little time to actually enjoy what you’re doing. I traveled from Java to go there, since people said it was so amazing. We must remember it depends to each their own what’s amazing.
We went during the low season, and believe me a slow season for a reason. The boat ride there was frightening and extremely dangerous. Picture getting slammed around in a vessel hurling through the ocean, like a constant body beating for hours. We paid over $700 for a day private boat, and the ocean was so rough and dangerous we cut it short. The crewmembers were even scared.
Go during the high season when the ocean is safe

five star place to visit, so nice and beautiful, any homestay around the area takes guests there. I beleive the trip is a little too expensive (750.000IDR for each person, about 50Euro each) but it's a must-do visit in Raya Ampat. bring a raincoat for the boat ride even with a sunny day:)

The view is beautiful from the observation deck but we almost died while our tiny boat with two 40 hp engines tried to navigate the open ocean. In any country with a functional, responsible government, these tiny boats would be banned from bringing foreign tourists here but not in Indonesia. We met numerous people who turned around, also people who had our experience, who made it but realized how lucky there were. No one we spoke to would do it again.

I am planning to go to Raja Ampat at the beginning of September. What resort would you recommend staying at to optimize the diving as well as other scenic activities? I'm planning to spend about $3,000 USD for my wife and I for the trip. I'm a certified AOD but my wife wants to get her certification. What would you recommend?

Hi,
We go this summer 3 weeks in Bali and plan to spend 2-3 days in Raja Ampat as it seems great lanscapes for pictures/photos. We would have 2-3 days maximum there and no scuba license.
Does the destination desserves to make such travel (flight from Bali) if you can just snorkeling ?
Where you advise us to go to have the best sightseeings/pictures of the landscape?
is it possible to see interesting stuffs just with snorkeling like tortles or stingrays ?
thanks!

It could take a day alone just to fly from Bali to Sorong, Raja Ampat. Then from Sorong, you'll need to take a ferry (2 hours if I remember correctly) to take you to Waisai. Keep in mind, there is no inter-islands public transports available at this point (Waisai). The best way is to make sure that you already arranged your homestay, the owner will pick you up to your homestay (the location of homestay are vary since there are a lot of small islands in Raja Ampat). If you arrive earlier (before noon-afternoon), you can do snorkeling if you pick a homestay that has a good spot for snorkeling. Then, in the morning (or depending on the wave) they can take you to this island. Of course, you can also do snorkeling at other spots outside your homestay. My snorkeling spot were Arborek Village. I stayed at a homestay in Sawinggrai Village. I saw a turtle once, but he disappeared really quick (shy animal). I never saw stingrays when I snorkeled there. Small fishes were the most common. There is nothing you can do at night, but I would recommend to chat with the locals, or watch the wives/girls cooking in their kitchen, or playing with the kiddos.

Hi....im sorry for slow respond.
Yes, i would suggest do your trip on morning and come back to homestay at afternoon and laying down for sunset.
Its better in morning since we cant predict about the wave.
I stay at lil cosy homestay and include with trip about $600.
Thank you
