We lived here for 4 years,in Madgeways Close,I was a sidesman at St John s Church,Great Amwell,for over 10 years,when Mr Walker was Vicar,now sadly passed,we had our 2nd daughter Nicola,whilst living here,wonderful,place,church,memories.

The river Lea was our home for 10 years as we lived on a narrow boat. It is beautiful in all seasons, full of wildlife meandering from Hertford to London.

A lovely place to walk or cycle as we did. Lots going on the river to see and plenty of wildlife to look at. Well worth a visit.

If you are in the center of Ware it is really recommended to take a nce walk along the River Lea which is famous for the gazeboz overlooking the area. If you are lucky you might see a houseboat pass through the lock.

Had a lovely day with family cruising slowly up the river to Ware. A couple of locks made it very interesting. Lots of wildlife to see.

We started with a Lunch at the Waterside Inn Ware then had a very informative and attractive cruise on a beautiful day. This company do a whole range of different trips, which I would recommend.
