Had been avoiding coming here as it is unashamedly a tourist draw. Happened to be driving by and saw how amazing it looked so went in. Excellent! You can spend several hours exploring the buildings and film set and there are loads of things for children to do.

We had avoided visiting Popeye village in the past but are glad we got there this time. Very quaint houses and the Xmas themed areas were excellent. No boat trip because of the weather but still fun and interesting. Also, a very good silversmith there and his prices are more than reasonable.

We walked to Popeye village, as we were staying in Mellieha Bay and found that it was great value for money. Character actors remained in character and are amusing with it. We wandered around the various buildings and took the 15 minute boat ride out into the bays, which was a nice inclusion in the entrance fee.

Great film set for the Popeye musical filmed back in 1980, now set up as a tourist attraction with actors performing interactive sets through the day. Not expensive at just over €10 per adult. Good photo opportunities and a few 'freebies' included.

Me and my wife went to the Popeye Village, even thinking that it may have been closed, due to the weather and visit in November. As soon as we arrived, via car, we stopped immediately to see the amazing bay with crystal clear water and the layout of the houses, which indeed form a picturesque sighting. Inside, it was nice... Because of the windy weather boating was not permitted but other than that I think was good. The kids were happy but honestly a bit too quiet all over the village and not too many things going on. We did got exiting about the movie making, they invite you to participate in filming a Popeye movie with you in it... More

I got excited from the moment I saw the buildings...I was expecting a town...lived in and quiet. What I got was very opposite. I was staying in Sliema and took an hour bus to then walk a nice walk for twenty minutes (there is a bus that goes direct there) I then saw the houses...got excited and realised I just... More

As soon as I found out that we were staying only 2.6 miles away from the village I knew we had to visit. Popeye was a favourite film of mine growing up and it's lovely to see that the old film set is still intact as I had heard it was in disrepair before visiting. The family got involved in... More
