About
Once a film set of the 1980 musical production, Popeye Village is now a fun-filled tourist attraction. Here, you can have meet and greets with Popeye and the gang, try being a movie star for a day, hit the mini golf course, explore the elaborate interiors of set houses, take a whirl on a water trampoline, and check out the Popeye Comic Museum. Don’t miss out on the winery, where you can enjoy home-made wine while overlooking the beautiful Anchor Bay. If the weather is good, take a boat ride around Anchor Bay—from which you can take some of the best pictures of Popeye Village. – Tripadvisor

    Nice to visit
A nice place to visit when in Malta although is “far” away from the rest of Malta’s tourist attractions. You don’t need too much time walk around the village and if not in summer that water sports operates there are not much to do. Those who grew up with Popeye as one of the cartoon heroes will definitely feel nostalgic during their visit there. Price not prohibiting even for a short stay there.

    Amazing day out
This is the place to where they filmed Popeye. There are lots of characters you can meet who are very friendly and engage with the children. They have several shows running during the day which are great fun to watch. When we went there was a fantastic filmmaking experience where a group of at least 20 to 30 people, including ourselves , got involved in performing a short show. lt was filmed and shown in the cinema. This was certainly a novel experience. We were lucky enough to go at a time where access to the beach was open and the kids were able to swim in the sea and also swim out to the inflatable obstacle course. They had a fantastic time playing on this. You do need to be mindful of the flags they are flying to warn you whether there is any jellyfish in the water. Overall it's just really fun walking through the Popeye village and seeing all the different buildings - you can walk in and out of these. They also have several old fashioned wooden games around the place, and a treasure hunt. Would recommend for families with children.

    Beautiful experience.
Beautiful experience in the small village of Braccio di Ferro, where you can watch the shows, visit the small houses and take lots of photos... and then continue with the games and the small swimming pools present at the exit from the village. The entrance price includes popcorn and a postcard for adults, while popcorn and half an hour of play area for children. Recommended for those with children.

    Popeye...park to visit!
Very very nice village! The children had a lot of fun, we arrived early and took in all the shows from the beginning... the entertainment guys are really nice (some also Italian), kind and always available for photos and to entertain the children. Olivia the best 🤩! All the spots are nice and welcoming and there are lots of really fantastic wooden games!! To top it all off... the pool area for children with lots of games (golf and much more) and the seaside area with really fun water games!

    Place to enjoy!
Before going there I had read some negative reviews, but then I thought why not try!?!! I must say that we really had a great time, spaces for everyone, sunbeds view or the sea, sunbathing, restaurants, bars, really nothing is missing. My teenage children had so much fun, especially at sea on inflatables type obstacle course, the beautiful and high sea is a real wild lagoon, but very particular, embellished by the structure built by Disney for the movie POPEYE and that left him. Pool areas more for the little ones, very pretty! If you think you will find the usual luxurious places without soul, forget it! Here you will find relaxation, joy and a lot of commitment from all those who work in this village. In fact I really want to congratulate everyone! From the reception to the always attentive lifeguards, to the barista to the entertainers, the soul of this place! You really notice the commitment they put into ensuring that tourists spend a day of fun and relaxation! Congratulations we would return! If I were you, I wouldn't miss this opportunity! Fun if you like movie sets but don't go if you don't like crowds of children
This is a fun afternoon activity but it mainly for children. We enjoyed a couple of hours looking at the movie set and having some "green" burgers ( spinach theme). If you like theme park type settings and have an interest in movie sets then this is worth a visit. The water for swimming was unfortunately pretty dirty when we were there and they were warning people about jellyfish bites. So our idea to spend the afternoon around the water did not eventuate.

    Made as hell.
Crappy place and a Tourist trap. Avoid it like the plague. Waste of money and insult to Maltese heritage and culture. It has nothing to do with Malta and its Historical sites and museums. Actually this site should be dismantled and cleaned up to replicate its green environment. Do it fast.

    Great scenery.Dirty sea
Great place, amazing scenes! The people who work there polite and the actors really make you feel like they are the real heroes of the movie! It's worth going! You'll have a great time The swimming pools on the right side of the village, not what you will say wow, but what you need to cool down and calm down for a few hours! We stayed there for about 2.5 hours (there are vending machines for those interested, but I recommend you bring food and drinks from your home, if you do not want to pay for them gold! The sea now: AREASY!Theodrome, straw full of garbage that you used to put your head in!No excesses. The kids played a little while in the inflatables but the crowd was too much and the dirt even bigger that they came out in half an hour! As a place it is awesome nevertheless with a black mark the sea and only.

To visit but not in August
The village is very nice, quaint and also the animation is great. The problem is the price, 24 euros in my opinion is excessive, despite including a postcard and a portion of popcorn. The beach with water games is really a nice idea, too bad that the sea after a certain time gets dirty. Recommendation this place but not in August because overcrowded.

    Popeye village with friends
Popeye Village is a fun and colorful place, perfect for families! The sets of the movie "Popeye" are beautiful and offer a picturesque setting by the sea; the live shows and Things to do for children are very entertaining. The staff is friendly and welcoming. It's a day full of laughter and magic, not to be missed if you're in Malta!

Good place to spend the day with family or couples, with hammocks in different places to have fun on the beach and in the water inflatables.
The place is well decorated, and the decoration is from the 1980 Popeye movie.
In the end it is a place to go bathe and enjoy the crystal clear water, although it is mostly a stone cove, to take into account booties or similar.

The worst thing was the price of the ticket, they charged us €22 per person in the place per adult and €16 for people over 60, on the internet from one day to the next you can get them for €5/6 less per person, which makes it already Expensive is too much for what it really is.

You will see Popeye, Bruto and Olivia there throughout the day, very nice and accessible, they also have different types of shows and activities throughout the day, with schedules that they give you at the entrance and that can be consulted from the website with code “BIDI”.

In general, recommended if the weather is hot and good, yes, getting your tickets in advance.

If you come to Malta with children aged 4 and over, this is an obligatory stop for them: the park is nice and the possibility of using sunbeds and games in the water is nice. With the ticket of 22 euros per adult and 16 euros per child you pay for it all, but it is nice and worth going to visit.
It certainly needs a lot more maintenance but the staff is nice and attentive to the guests (the guide called Paul was very good and explained the history of the film, the people and Robin Williams to us).
My 4 and 8 year olds had a blast.

it was the best discovery of our stay in Malté. For €22 per adult, there is a tour of the park where you can enter each house, actors representing characters from the film are around the houses with stagings which add life to the park. there are different bars/restaurants, for very affordable prices. on one side there is a magnificent cove with deckchairs and beds available where you can swim, and on the other side there are several swimming pools with games such as mini golf, a molki and a play area. game for child. for the price it’s an excellent place, where you can stay for a whole day!!!
I recommend with my eyes closed

The entrance fee is 22 euros. It is not possible to book an hour or two. Without children, we would have been through in 20 minutes. Absolutely not worth the money. When we asked for a discount because of a short stay, we were treated very unfriendly.

The sea is very beautiful. Indeed the most beautiful thing that exists. Fantastic waters. Animation ok too. What is unacceptable is the food. Point 1 at breakfast there is no possibility of eating sweet things: croissants, muffins or even simple biscuits.
At lunch you only had two choices: either pizza or sandwich. A takeaway margherita pizza €10!!
Finally, at the exit there is a restaurant that closes before the exit. Hundreds of people in the square waiting for the buses and the restaurant didn't offer anything to eat.
To add insult to injury: the machines outside only give drinks. In short, at Popeye Village you risk going without food.

We paid 44 euros for 2 people, in retrospect this was not worth the money. The film set itself was fun to walk across, but it is a faded glory. Not much to do in Popeye Village for adults, but it is fun for small children given the entertainment around it. The water obstacle and so-called swimming pool (which was no longer a house-garden-kitchen swimming pool) did not amount to much. The only advantage is that sun beds were included in the price and you received a free postcard as a souvenir. All in all we spent a maximum of 2 hours here and soon got tired of it.

Great atmosphere. Exciting entertainment. Very well maintained and clean. The sea is clean and there are several ways to get in. There are enough sun loungers, the staff is friendly and the prices are reasonable. If you come in October, the entrance fee is only 16.40 instead of 22 euros per person

In winter, it only costs 15 euros to enter per person.
In principle, I would say an entrance fee of 5 euros would be appropriate.
The set is mostly nice but also really old. The term amusement park doesn't do the park justice though. There are smaller games like giant Jenga, giant Tic Tac Toe and the like. Various shows that are quite OK now in winter, a bit of Christmas decorations. We were there for about an hour. That was enough.
From the opposite side, you have a great view of the village. That's actually enough in my opinion. I wouldn't recommend it for 15 euros or even more.

If you read the reviews of this place first you will never go there, but what can you do, I'm an old dreamer and when you talk to me about Walt Disney and FILM I can't resist.
The site is nothing more than the set of a '79 film starring Robin Williams.
Nice to look at, but in 15 minutes you shot it all.
To justify the €22 ticket, they provide you with sunbeds and umbrellas, as well as inflatables in the water. If in fact you do 2 calculations (€18 x 1 umbrella and 2 sunbeds + €10/h for use of inflatables) they can fit.
Furthermore, in the upper part of the park they have created a small children's park with games and swimming pools (above ground).
My guide spoke of €10 for the ticket price...inflation must have arrived here too.

Ps: if you decide to go, do it early otherwise there are no sunbeds available.

What an awesome experience. I was expecting to only go and explore the film set for around 1-2 hours but it ended up taking the whole day which made it worth every cent of the money i paid for admission and on top of that the freebies offered along side the admission ticket was a really nice touch. What made the experience for me were the actor especially the way they interacted and engaged with us guests. A special shout out goes out to Popeye, The director, bluto, the post man, the mayor. These 5 characters truly made visiting Popeyes village the biggest highlight for my Malta trip overall and made my fall in love with the entire village.
