Stumbled upon this gem. Quite a glorious shrine that has been graced by a papal visit (John Paul II). Well worth a quick trip.

This fabulous Church is a testament to just how different values are, now, compared with in previous centuries. People cheerfully spent their LIVES proudly building this magnificent place of worship for our Lord God. They didn't worship 'celebrities' then!

Beautifully situated, quite small but very interesting.Located on a hillside, which is either accessible by bus or foot if you are staying in the bay.

Two Maltese ladies were very informative about the paintings which were all around the small room. It was dark inside. They showed us the way into the small church by a side door.

You have a pavement all the way up from your hotel. I have done the walk many times, in summer too, with small children, from Mellieha Holiday Centre.

I agree with the above answer. The bus stops very near to the Luna complex, you could always get a bus to church and walk bac - all downhill.
