    Amazing national park
We did the western and central serengeti with easy travel. Our guide ombeni was incredible as he knew the right places to see all the cats. The savanna is such an amazing place. The grass camouflages the big cats. You get an incredible array of animals walking around.

    Absolutely amazing place
We visited the Serengeti National Park for three days in August. We stayed one day in the East and two days in Northern Serengeti. The place is absolutely amazing and worthwhile a visit. The scenery and nature of the park is breathtaking. We saw lots of animals- 4 out of the big 4 (new rhinos), the big migration including the Mara river crossing of the wilderbeasts in the North and Skopjes in the East. All the accommodations were clean, the staff very friendly and the safari guide very knowledgeable. We booked our trip through a Swiss travel agency but everything was organized through a local agency (Mt. Kilimanjaro Safari Club in Arusha) and the service was superb.

Like Stepping into The Lion King
A vast place. You could explore for many days and probably never visit the same place twice. We saw so many lions here in two days that by the end it was no big deal. Leopards and cheetahs are harder to spot. Make sure to pay attention to all the other creatures that abound, including different types of deer and many species of birds.

    An unforgettable adventure!
My recent Safari included several days/game drives in the Central Serengeti, which are unforgettable. The number of animals I was lucky enough to see was beyond my wildest dreams. The landscape and sunsets are spectacular. On the practical side, there are nice, clean picnic areas and bathrooms. On my first day there, many jeeps had entered the Serengeti around the same time, and it got a bit crowded around the more unusual sightings (i.e. leopards). However, my very experienced Safari-Guide had a way of getting around the others to give me a great view of everything. On the following days, other Safari vehicles spread out more and there was less of a crowd. The Serengeti will have a place in my heart forever.

    My childhood dream
To discribe it in one word: WOW! It has always been my dream to visit the Serengeti and finally I fullfilled fhis dream together with my good friends Jonathan and Aimee and Sam. Thanks to our guide Sabas we had an absolutely fantastic time and the wildlife was just overwhelmingly beautiful. We arrived late for the Great migration but it was still so wonderful and versatile. I hold every single moment precious! Thanks to our guide Sabas and the wonderful team of Tanzania Horizon Safaris. Thank you so much

    G Adventures - Tanzania
The Serengeti, Tanzania part of a five country safari in Africa. So different from the Masai Mara. The sand seemed almost grey in comparison. Once again you encounter elephants, giraffes, baboons and buffalo. Here also you will see in the outlying villages banana plantations, rice paddy fields and maize or corn crops. Like many of the African nations you will also find talented artists and wood crafting artisans. Tanzanite jewellery is handcrafted here as well. To the south of the Serengeti National Park and Ngorongoro Conservation Area lies Lake Manyara. It is here you will find gazells and impalas together with a host of flamingos. Remember that once again you are in an area of National Parks - treat them carefully they are part of a heritage once lost will never be found again.

Magical Serengeti at wonderful Lahia Lidge
Our family, with two happy kids, went on an awesome journey to Serengeti National Park in Tanzania. We were so excited to see incredible animals and have a great time. We picked Lahia Tented Lodge, a cozy place surrounded by nature, for our stay, and Tanzania Horizon Safaris organized iur trip. During our safaris, we saw lions, zebras, and even cheetahs. We stayed at Lahia Tented Lodge and it was like a luxury home in the wild. The food was so deliciius and at night, we heard the sounds of the animals under the starry sky. The people there were really friendly, making our stay even more special. Every day brought new adventures and surprises. We shared stories around the campfire and made memories that we'll always cherish. We left feeling grateful for the fantastic experiences and the kindness of Lahia Tented Lodge and Tanzania Horizon Safaris. It was truly the best family adventure ever!

    Magnificent and perfect experience
Our safari was magnificent!, the scenery, the amount and variety of wildlife, the closeness of the animals, the interactions between the animals, all unforgettable. We loved every minute of it and wished it would have been longer. Our guide was the perfect guide for our family and did an excellent job educating us, especially my children along the way. He could answer any question thoroughly and expand with personal experience and anecdote. At the beginning of the trip he asked the children what they wanted to see most and then made sure that it all happened. He also made us feel very welcome and comfortable. We felt like family. Our accommodations were excellent. The whole safari was a highlight in and of itself. Seeing cheetahs eating a gazelle was a particularly cool moment. We loved getting so close to the lions in Serengeti and Ngorongoro, and seeing a hyena run away with a zebra leg. The kids especially loved the families of elephants at Tarangire, the many giraffes with babies, the flamingos, and the hippos at Ngorongoro. I could list all of the animals though, because they were all magnificent. Furthermore, stopping to meet the Maasai family was very special. It is very kind of them to allow visitors to come in for a moment to visit their home. We will remember this trip forever, it was life changing and simply wonderful. We will definitely come again and recommend Bantu Pori Journeys to everyone that we know

    We felt we saw everything.
We went late in September, just as the fall rains were starting. We just faced a few hours of rain over 4 days, and it was a great time to be there. The land was just starting to turn green, but the wildebeest were still on the move. Its an awesome sight to see the endless line of animales on the move. We were fortunate enough to see them crossing the Mara River, a single file going on and on. And then, all of a sudden, one of them decides not to cross. And its over. That was far from all. We saw elephans mourning a fallen comrade, lions mating, hyenas hunting early in the morning, a leopard dining in a tree, and cheetah's up close. And all the other major species, except for rhinos. We visited four national parks in all, but this was the most impressive.

    Incredible place
Wow. Huge National park with virtually every animal you’d want to see in so many diverse and interesting locations. We stayed 4 nights and never ran out of interesting and different things to see. This is our last stop on a two week trip in Kenya and Tanzania. We also saw lake manyara, naivisha, amboseli and Masai Mara national parks. Nothing we saw in those places wasn’t present in Serengeti in larger numbers and with amazing scenery. There were hours we drove without seeing another car. We also spent many hours staring at climbing lions, giraffes, cheetahs, leopards and elephants. Of course we saw so many zebras and wildebeests. Based on what we saw, if you only see one park in Kenya and Tanzania, this should be it.

Our 21 day safari in Tanzania with Tanzania Horizon Safaris was a dream come true, especially our time in the legendary Serengeti! Our guide, Patrick, was amazing – knowledgeable, friendly, and always eager to make our experience unforgettable. He found the most incredible wildlife, from lions cubs and cheetahs to vast herds of wildebeest. The Serengeti's endless plains and stunning sunsets took our breath away every day. Everything was very well organized. We stayed at Lahia Lodge which felt like an oasis in the Serengeti with amazing views of the landscape. Straight from our bed we saw 2 giraffes strolling by at sunrise. We had forgotten our binoculars but the company organized them last minute which definitely contributed to our experience. Patrick’s passion and expertise made us feel like we were in great hands. Huge thanks to Tanzania Horizon Safaris for an unforgettable adventure. If you're dreaming of the perfect safari, they will make it happen!

The title of my review says it all. How anyone could visit East Africa and not spend time in the Serengeti is beyond me. Not only are there vast quantities and varieties of wildlife but just the vastness of it is awe inspiring. The roads are dirt and very bumpy (Our guide called it the African Massage; and it was.) but we saw many antelope species (wildebeest, topi, hartebeest, and more), a large variety of birds and many others (lions, elephant, giraffe, buffalo).
Having a good guide is a must. Not only is it very easy to get lost but a good guide knows where the animals generally hang out, knows the names of the animals (especially many different birds), can explain the geology metrology and climate of the region and how it impacts the flora and fauna and not, the least of which, has a radio in case help is needed. (Don't count on a cell phone. Some places mine worked and many it didn't. And you sure don't want to get out and walk for help. Not only will you not get home for dinner, but you could very well become dinner!)
And make sure you take plenty of water. The humidity was very low.
Finally, please don't litter. It was very depressing to see trash people had discarded. There wasn't a lot but to see a plastic water bottle on the ground in the middle of this beautiful wilderness was shocking and disappointing. We all should be better than that.

This is a wonderful park. Lots of roads the carve up the landscape but give animals room to breathe. We saw everything, except rhinos. We came during the offseason and saw plenty of animals and few other tourists. When stopped to see something there were never more than 1 or 2 other jeeps around us.

Our 5-day safari with Tanzania Horizon Safaris was the perfect follow-up to our Kilimanjaro adventure! The Serengeti was absolutely breathtaking – we were in awe of the vast plains and stunning wildlife. Our safari guide, Godbless, was a true master, spotting animal tracks on the red soil that led us to some incredible sightings. And staying at Kati Kati tented lodge was a dream! The evenings were magical, gathered around the bonfire under the starry sky. Everything was perfectly organized by Tanzania Horizon Safaris, from start to finish. Thank you to Godbless and the whole team for making our safari experience unforgettable.

I love the Serengeti and Ngorongoro Crater National Parks! It is one of my favorite places to visit, and the wildlife is abundant. Today, I rate two stars only because of one corrupt gate guard named Juliet at the Naabi gate, between the Ngorongoro crater park and the Serengeti park on road B144
Juliet was increasingly aggressive and rude as she repeatedly attempted to extort those in our vehicle for "Chai" (aka bribe money). We were delayed at the Naabi gate for over two hours, which prevented us from traveling safely in the daylight, and put the life of a child in danger as we were forced to travel through the park at night. Juliet showed absolutely no care, concern, or sympathy for the well-being of a child. Can you imagine what would have happened if we broke down at night, surrounded by hyenas, lions, and other predators?! This is quite disheartening and is very detrimental to the growth of the Tanzanian tourism industry. Juliet's actions were a direct insult to the great work Mama Samia has done for Tanzania in promotion of The Royal Tour and Tourism in Tanzania. Juliet, and people like her should be removed. International tourists should not be detained and extorted for bribery. People like Juliet will only hold Tanzania back. Get rid of them.

Living in the savanna for 4 days on a photo safari is beyond words. The animals and their environment can't be equaled. Even photos don't express the beauty of the scenery. The trip changed our lives.
