Over the years this area has continually improved. There is a protected wildlife area adjacent to the beach where you can see all sorts of birdlife. Along the beachfront toward Playa Del Ingles are a series of bars - very small but offers a very welcome cold beer on a hot day! And from the lighthouse toward Meleronas a large... More

I was there in July, and it was an amazing weather, and very warm. You have lots of space to put your towel. The sea is nice to swim, but with some waves. Next to the beach, you have lots of restaurants and stores where you can buy all kind of stuff. You should visit the dunes (like the desert),... More

A stroll through the shopping centre to the 7kms beach, past the working lighthouse was most enjoyable, well worth a vist. Catch the local bus from your hotel. Visit the Baobab 5* hotel and see the birds and turtles. No charge. The best place to visit in Gran Canaria.

The beach goes on forever, well at least 5km, the dunes are amazing, remember to wear shoes the sand can be incredibly hot. The beach is split into unofficial sections, family, naturist and gay. If you are offended by naturists then wear dark glasses as they walk past you to take a dip in the sea, or when in Rome... More

Just like walking into a mini sahara! Make sure you take plenty of water with you and avoid the areas where the plants are as the local naturists prefer to use them. Great for a walk along the seashore though along with the crowds.

We walked from Ingles to Faro. It was about 7 kilometers long walk. It was wery easy and pleasant walk. Sun was shining and because of the wind, it was not too warm

Fabulous dunes stretching as far as the eye can see, down to the sea. It is a fair walk to the sea across these dunes, but they are tightly packed so you are not sinking into sand with each step. When you reach the water's edge the beach will be pretty crowded, with many nude sunbathers too. Don't worry, if... More

The beach at Maspalomas is huge. It has some nice restaurants at the start (some very up market). I walked all the way from the waters edge to the beach at Playa de Inglis. This is a very long walk taking at least an hour but such a great thing to do. The beach hours past the sand dunes which... More

We visited because we were in the area not because we wanted to go on the beach - we are not sun worshippers. We didn't think we would like it much, but when we go off the hotel shuttle bus and started to walk towards the beach - what a treat!!!!! There was a lovely wildlife area with wading birds... More
